WHAT ABOUT DANNY? Coach Bob Hill has refused to say whether he thinks Danny Fortson would be a good fit with next year's club, but there is a distinct possibility he will become trade bait this summer. With a $6.6 million salary in the final season of his contract, Fortson could be an attractive trade chip for a team looking to clear salary off the books for the 2007 free agent class.

"There's an argument that he brings the added low-post defensive toughness to this group," Hill said. "There's a place for him. I like him a lot. Whether he wants to do it or not, I haven't discussed with him."

Fortson played two games with Hill as coach before shutting down because of cartilage damage in his left knee. </div>

If there isn't a place for Fortson next season then there probably won't be a place for the Sonics in the post season--or in Seattle for that matter.

One ingredient that this team this season missed enormously was an intimidation factor and I can't imagine getting a better dosage for next season than from the "baddest man in pig tails." It may be wishful thinking but I definitely would love to see "21" back on the active roster, and back in the league lead in rebounds per minute, free throw percentage, and flagrant fouls.

I love Fortson's game, but I cringe every time he goes up to shoot the ball. The guy has no clue. Baddest man in pigtails, lol.

Haha yeah, I get the same feeling watching Marbury, Francis, Crawford, Richardson, Curry and James.

Wasn't that the Knicks starting five at one point? [IMG]

Unlikely, given I named six players, but who knows with the Knicks?

Ah terrific, so Danny's last actions in a Sonics uniform were called by Tom Tolbert.

Well I know you named six. Minus one of them they could have been the starting five at one point. All of them are gunners too...so what team.
