Since we've already started to predict the top teams from next season, why not predict the All-Americans? I know that a lot of players have yet to declare or sign agents for the draft, but just consider it a forgone conclusion that the Florida kids come back, and that Aldridge, Morrison, Thomas, and Gay all declare, because that's the most likely scenario.

I'll post my preseason (early version) of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd teams later, but for now, here's a list of some players I thought of off the top of my head who'll probably be in the mix.

    Likely Candidates:

Arron Afflalo (UCLA) - Likely to stay in school.
    Corey Brewer (Florida)
    <strike>Shannon Brown (Michigan State)</strike>
    Glen Davis (LSU)
    Kevin Durant (Texas)
<strike>Jordan Farmar (UCLA)</strike> - Likely to stay in draft.
    Nick Fazekas (Nevada)
Daniel Gibson (Texas) - 50/50 about coming back.
    Jeff Green (Georgetown)
    Tyler Hansbrough (North Carolina)
    Malik Hairston (Oregon)
    Roy Hibbert (Georgetown)
    Chris Lofton (Tennessee)
<strike>Kyle Lowry (Villanova)</strike> - Likely to stay in draft.
    Josh McRoberts (Duke)
    Joakim Noah (Florida)
    Greg Oden (Ohio State)
    Juan Palacios (Louisville)
    Leon Powe (California)
    Blake Schilb (Loyola Chicago)
    Curtis Sumpter (Villanova)
    Alando Tucker (Wisconsin)
    <strike>Darius Washington, Jr. (Memphis)</strike>
    Marcus Williams (Arizona)
    Julian Wright (Kansas)
    Nick Young (USC)

Your forgetting a guy I think that will come back, Adam Morrison! I have this feeling on the inside that he isn't satisfied with having a 'stache and losing the way he did. I think he enjoys the college level more than anything, he'll be back [IMG] Also what about Brandon Rush, Ronald Steele, and Mustafa Shakur? I was kidding about Shakur, but you never know, c'mon if the Gators can win a title, who knows now days? Also I like your nominee of "The Last of the Mohicans", he's going to be good this year IMO. Some players that could break out though are Devendorf, Haluska, Ramon Sessions, Marcellus Kemp, Jaycee Carroll, or Jon Brockman, look for at least 1 of those names to have a big year.

I just posted that list off the top of my head so that other people didn't have to go look up who was coming back next year when they went to post their predictions in this thread, so it's not like I was snubbing Rush, Steele, and Shakur. They just didn't come to my mind right away.

It seems like Hansbrough, S. Brown, and Powe are pretty much consensus First Team, whereas I'm about the only one who left Farmar off the first team. I personally see him as the best point guard in college basketball, but Kansas is set up to have a big year, and Chalmers could reap the benefits from it, especially on the stat sheet.

The Florida situation is hard to figure out. It's doubtful that three players from the same team are all named All-Americans, yet they've got three (maybe four counting Green) legit candidates. They're all big question marks though, so it's hard to pick one. Brewer's probably the most talented out of the bunch, but Horford and Noah have the advantage of being listed as big men. I feel strange about having Noah on my Second Team, especially over Horford. He had an impressive tournament run, but who knows if he'll keep that intensity all through his junior year.

One other thing I noticed is that Shard and I pretty much the only ones with any faith in Greg Oden. UK didn't even give him any consideration. Yes, he's a freshman, but don't let that throw you off. Freshmen like Oden come around once every ten to twenty years, like Carmelo Anthony, Chris Jackson, Magic Johnson, and Pistol Pete (granted he played on an freshman-only team). I'm confident that you could throw Oden on any roster in the NBA, and he'd be an instant contributer. I'd be really disappointed if he finished with anything less than All-Second Team honors.

Anyway, I might edit mine later. I kind of did them in a hurry the first time around.

I've always been a fan of Morrow's game. I think I listed him on my "breakout players" list in a preseason article. He would have been much more of a household name this season had Georgia Tech had a little more success as a team, so next year when Georgia Tech probably does have that team success and most likely gets back into the top twenty-five, I think that'll finally happen.

That's a solid preliminary list, but just a heads up, I'm pretty sure that Curtis Stinson has signed with BDA Sports Management, which would forfeit any college eligibility he had.

Poor decision really... like you were predicting, the kid could have been an All-American next season, but now he likely goes in the second round or undrafted, probably ultimately winding up in the NBDL or Europe; not to mention how it'll hurt the Cyclones chances of competing in the Big 12 next year.

I figured with everything going on recently as far as players declaring, and with the relative inactivity in this forum due to it being the offseason, I should bump this thread and update my teams.
