I was watching TNT after the Mavs and Suns game and they were talking about the championship. The host asked if Billups and Duncan get injured and both the Spurs and Pistons get eliminated in the first round who would win it all? Charles Barkley said Miami, but Reggie Miller said New Jersey. I think the Nets are really starting to get some respect now. I also think that New Jersey would win it all if that was to happen.
Isn't that a lack of respect for the Nets? They're saying the only way the Nets can win it all is injuries to other teams.
It was who would win it from each conference..and like EJ said, it doesn't matter cause it won't happen...so I don't put any value into what he said.

We will just have to wait and see.

The Nets are a good enough team that they could steal an individual regular season game from any team in the league. But that doesn't mean that they can compete in a SERIES with the big dawgs. The Nets simply dont have enough rebounding or post defense.
The Nets are good enough to beat anyone I think even if Duncan and Billups don't get injured. I think people respect us now and know how dangerous we are.
That`s just plain disrespect, but if it wasn`t for that 14-game streak, people wouldn`t realize how much of an impact Jersey can make in the postseason.
I don't see how it is disrespectful because they did'nt say that was the only way the Nets would win the championship, they just said if those players would get injured then the Nets would win but they did'nt say that was the only way they can win.
If Kristic can give them 17 and 10 consistentley throughout the playoffs, I wouldn't be surprised if they come out of the East.
The Nets can take Detroit into a long series, but I am skeptical they can come out..though I hope they prove me wrong when given the chance. And I sincerely doubt that the Nets can beat the Spurs. Tim Duncan just seems to live to beat the Nets.
