if carter is winning in New Jersey theres no reason for him to leave. Maybe, a big offer might persuade him. But then again the magic arent the only team that is intrested.

True, but what is an upside is he might want to be closer to his hometown, and closer to his cousin and family.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting playmaker15:</div><div class="quote_post">It's the truth don't laugh because I can use something other than lmao in my posts. Carter is a very good scorer and he will be their number one option and he is an underrated defender. Also, Carter has shown this year he can play for long periods of time and hopefully those injuries are behind him.</div>
    Legitiment isn't a word... That's why I was laughing.

And it was funny as hell.

So what he mispelled a word, like you have never done that before. You know what he meant and they both sound the same legitimate, legitiment.

You should save that 20 million for the class of 03 to be free agents.

I make typos, but I don't spell easy words wrong. And make them into new words.

This is a stupid argument. It was funny, and now it's over.

Alright guys, cool down and let's get back on topic.

I noticed some of you want to sign two team players instead of a superstar. What role players would you want us to sign?

Do you really think Phoenix would let him go with the way he's playing? He may be a better option I will agree. Plus Vince is a proven superstar and no one knows if Diaw would be this good without Nash.

Not sure if Diaw is a great idea. He wouldn't necessarily be filling a position we need. I'd much prefer Gerald Wallace.

I agree with going after Gerald Wallace. He just seems like he would fit so well with our team. Although I don't think he has plans of leaving Charlotte, but you never know. I don't want Vince, he'd be too old and... it just doesn't make sense. Boris Diaw? Hmmm. He is certainly an awesome and versatile player, but what position would he play for us? There are so many talented players in that offseason, I can't wait to see what moves the Magic make.

ey guys dont just think that Vince carters the only one comming into free agency that year, look at these big names who will be too:
    Paul Pierce
    Gerald Wallace
    Kirk Hinrich
    Lebron James
    Josh Howard
    Dirk Nowitzki
    Carmelo Anthony
    Chauncey Billups
    Dwayne Wade
    T.J Ford
    Maurice Williams
    Mike Bibby
    Luke Ridnour
    Chris Bosh
    Antwain Jamison

Although LJ23, Melo, or Wade will most likely resign, a Ridnour, Pierce or Gerald Wallace could come in. Wallace would bring in a major defensive pressence on the outside as well as an improving scoring.

I dont think we need a superstar. Dwight is proving to be the superstar we need. Jameer is playing out of his mind and the bench has been productive almost every night. This team needs a defensive stopper in the likes of Bowen or Prince. Whether its signing Stevenson and getting another defensive minded player or getting a star player that plays good defensive. We dont need instant offense. We dont need a vince, pierce, or any other player that commands 25+ shots a game. This team is so young that they need time more than anything. I see Dwight and Jameer as the new stockton and malone. If thats the case they need players that will help out not take over.

The Magic are making crazy noise... Finally they are being heard, I love it. Everyone and their mom is taking about the Magic right now, its a good time to be a Magic fan. Lets try to finish this season on a huge winning streak.

I'd love to get Pierce, or Gerald Wallace + Josh Howard, or Carmelo Anthony, or Wade, or Lebron James.

Pierce and VC will be the same age that year and are basically the same player except that Vicne can shoot the 3 and dunk better. Wallace would be a tremendous sign for anyone but I doubt he will leave that Charlotte team filled with potential. Howard is a possibility but I think Jamison would be awesome he gives you a great shooter and will give you guys good size at the 3 spot.

You think Vince Carter can shoot threes better than Pierce? Shapecity pointed out an interesting fact a couple weeks ago: Paul Pierce holds the Celtics' franchise record for most three pointers. That's right, he has more threes than the great Larry Bird. I don't think you can say Pierce is worse at threes than Carter.
