Foyle is in the NBA because he is an athlete stud of a center who can run the floor, block shots, finish inside, finish on the fast break, find the open man, and play "lock-down" defense. Why else would they have given him a $50 mils contract?

Foyle makes more in one season than an entire fourteen-man NBA roster made in the 1987-1988 season.

That's the year James Worthy led the Lakers over Isiah Thomas's Pistons.

That was the year where first team all NBA was:

F - Larry Bird, Boston Celtics
    F - Charles Barkley, Philadelphia 76ers
C - Hakeem Olajuwon, Houston Rockets
G - Michael Jordan, Chicago Bulls
G - Magic Johnson, Los Angeles Lakers

I think Foyle is one of the NBA's worst players.

Nice games by the young bigs, Diogu and Biedrins. I guess this wasn't against great competition for post players since the Blazers only had Ratliff and Skinner as guys with decent size. Biedrins' FTs are ugly, I remember someone saying this in another thread, and wow, watching this guy shoot FT's was ugly tonight. It was good to see Diogu lead the team in FT's again, that guy is going to make a living there, that's kind of why I liked him in last year's draft too. Watching the young guys play was fun. Even Barnett enjoyed it.

Only 19 three pointers this game, which is not bad. Dunleavy and Ellis combined for a majority of them(1-12), but 19 is better than 25. I hope shooting too many threes doesn't become something that plauges Ellis from watching these other players though. He's been shooting a pretty good percentage from that range though, so it probably won't. Also I want Dunleavy to drive every single time in the last two games, or at least during one of the last two games. He makes me want to cheer for him when he takes it to the hoop, and it is difficult for me to cheer for him often, so that is saying something.

But something that Dunleavy does, makes me laugh sometimes, and wonder if what he does really benefits him or the team. When Dunleavy stands on the perimeter he is always standing like an old woman or something, I am assuming that it is his ready position for the ball. But he's always crouched over by his back and leaning forward face in front, and also kind like his hands out trying to get warm by a fire. I mean I don't want to make fun of him, if that's the way he gets ready to explode, but it's just something I have never seen before. Maybe it's an old school thing or what not, but it just looks strange to me. I also doubt it helps too much and probably hurts sometimes because it seems as if he is kind of a smaller target to notice and to pass to when he does it. Sometimes I just want to see him try to free himself a little more rather than just stand out there like an old woman. I also wish he had hands more like Diogu's hands or Biedrins' hands or Zarko's hands, because he can look like Foyle sometimes on the court when he drops passes that hit him straight in the hands, which usually leads Barnett to criticize the passer for passing too early or too late or too something though the ball will hit him in the hands and go out of bounds. It is something that happened in the Blazer game, but also something I've seen before too. Grab that ball, especially for a guy who is supposed to have guard skills and someone who is a SF.
