i beleive they need a scoring PF, one that can play the post, play some good defense, a big body and not a SF/PF. maybe eddy curry or we could try out milicic or Nene. i think we should keep this young team together and see how they will progress while adding a another good scoring option along with kobe odom and at times kwame.
    what do you guys think?

^ well, we do need a big body to compliment kwame brown. i do not think chris mihm and kwame have much chemistry together, so we may see someone come in the draft. also, we need a starting point guard. smush is good, dont get me wrong, and has improved a lot, but i still think he is better off coming off the bench.

also, i really do think the lakers COULDVE had a better record than the clippers. they just let too many winnable games slip away. with that being said, next season they will all have more experience, and i expect to see them hold on to their late leads

Agreed but a solid scoring center will be hard to find in the draft because he may not have that type of impact they need coming in his rookie year. The Lakers are good but the Clippers are a very young team and with Elton Brand, Shaun Livingston becoming a good young point guard. I still think the Clippers will be better.

well, i think the clippers could be better next season, but i was saying that we could have gotten a better record than the clips this season. we are only behind by like 2 games or so, and throughout the season, we have let very winnable games just slip away

^^That's also true I think that now since they are both winning they could have a very good rivalry for the next few years because of their talent.

I think a nice scoring center..not a stellar one, just one who can get the job done down there when needed...I would liek to see a good help side defender who can block shots....I do think we need a nice PG, whether that be starting or backup, who can shoot a consistent 3 and who can drive, kick, and create for others...a style like Tony Parker, but shoots like Cassel...not saying to that level, but someone who CAN do those things for us...someone young...

I like Smush, he has some time to improve. I think we need a solid C or PF.

We dont need anything. The Lakers lost 12-15 games while tied or trailing in the 4th quarter with one minute remaining. Doesnt that tell you anything?

the lakers dont need another player for the 2, 3 and 4 spot coz' come next year kobe lamar and kwame will be the next big 3 of the NBA...
that's why the lakers need to find/sign a quality PG or C

Word is O'Neal is on his way out...a package of Andrew Bynum (and who else) an some draft picks could get O'Neal out West, which is where Indiana probably wants him anyways...

    Just think of that.

    Smush
    Kobe
    Lamar
    Jermaine
    Kwame.

    Thats such a bomb lineup.

Peja and Artest, both free agents next year, would put us in the finals and Jerry Buss owe's us.

if we have to trade away bynum, then you might as well just get KG. im pretty sure the wolves would jump at a deal with bynum since they are in rebuilding mode

Ilgauskas? can block shots is a big body and can score reasonably well.
put a deal together with him and snow and we'd be fire.

Cause he's not injury prone or over paid either lol.

If your going to trade for a real PF then we might as well make some kind of run for KG or J.O.

What about a 3 team trade that would send Bynum to Utah, Boozer to Minnesota and KG to the Lakers? Or the same scenario except with Indiana?

Thats the only way I can see a deal gettin done is a 3rd team stepping in

Boozer would be terrible IMO. he is not big. we wouldn't get any better and would probably keep the same win record, but i dont know thats just what i think. we should try to get an expieienced veteran like JO or KG, but if they are to be dealt i dont think we could come up with a better deal than other teams. maybe kenyon martin?

    Look,, Bynum isn't going anywhere.

Lakers and Kareem are not wasting their precious time on Bynum to get him ready for his next team, he is here to stay.
