<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">LOS ANGELES - One day, Lakers coach Phil Jackson is the first coach to tout Phoenix's interior defense. The next, Lakers center Kwame Brown is talking about how his team watched the Clippers beat the Suns by pounding them inside. Ah, perspective. The Lakers claim they haven't had much of that in trying to solve Phoenix. In each of the Suns' previous three wins, the Lakers had played on the previous night. The playoffs would offer more focus and preparation. The Suns did not give them much to build on in a 109-89 loss Sunday, putting Steve Nash and Raja Bell in suits. "There are different degrees (of injuries)," Jackson said. "If they can extend these guys' ability to play in the playoffs, they certainly should. "I don't think I ever rested any of our players. I still think we always played players, even if it was 20 minutes or 15 minutes or whatever." Jackson recalled when he was a Chicago assistant in 1989 and Cleveland sat out Mark Price, Brad Daugherty and Larry Nance and won. Chicago upset Cleveland in a first-round series won on Michael Jordan's famous shot over Craig Ehlo. The Lakers did take advantage Sunday and seemed to draw confidence from it. "We are a much better team right now," star Kobe Bryant said. "We are playing really well and executing very well."</div> Source

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Empra!15:</div><div class="quote_post">Am I the only Laker fan who thinks the Lakers will take the Suns to the limit and beat them?</div> Take them to the limit? It could be a 6 or 7 game series, because Kobe will single handedly make this a series. Beat them? I don't think so, it will be a hell of an upset though if it happens.
If the Lakers can make it a series (which I think they can and will) then there is no reason that they wouldn't make it to the next round...
we have a great chance of beating the suns. all we have to do is give the ball in to the beast, kwame brown! the suns will have no one to stop him. also, to increase our chances, phil jackson should put von wafer in our playoff roster, and use him in game 1. he should come in imediately and injure steve nash. that way, nash will be gone and we will give them a whipping! I got money on the Lakers in round 1. My friends think Im crazy. The Lakers have to win at least 2 games in the series. The guy taking the bet believes the Lakers will win only 1. $500.00 to the winner!
Atleast 2 games? Lakers are winning the series. You think Kobe worked his ass off to get to the playoffs to lose in the 1st round? He will take it to another level in the playoffs that we haven't seen before (I know, hard to imagine) Lakers will win this series, and the Triangle will prevail.

But hey, I made a reasonaable bet. The guy doesnt even think the Lakers can win more than one game!!! Easy MONEY!
I think the Lakers have this series IF they get the priveledge of playing the suns. They HAVE to against NOK tonight, and they know it- I look for the Lakers to dismantle the Hornets. (and then the suns hehe)
