    Bryant earned Western Conference honors after averaging a league-best 41.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.3 steals as the Lakers went 3-0 and secured a playoff berth after a one-year absence.

    On Friday, Bryant scored 50 points to surpass Elgin Baylor's single-season franchise record of 2,719 points in the 1962-63 season. </div>

    IMO he should get player of the month for April! coz he just repeated what he did in january
    he's averaging 40+ pts / game and la has secured the 7th spot

    He should get MVP...MVP definition...Most Value Player of the league, not team, not if his team made the play offs. No ifs...Kobe is the best player in the league period. Making him MVP
