we need him for the hornets game. it is one of the most crucial games of the season because if we win, we will clinch the 7th seed. if we lose, we have to hope to god that the kings lose to the sonics, which will most likely not happen

We definately need this win. The Lakers should go into the playoffs on their longest win streak of the season.

Well since it's obvious your a know-it-all and were just ignorant let me RESTATE what you obviously aren't aware of, even though somebody already said it.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">we need him for the hornets game. it is one of the most crucial games of the season because if we win, we will clinch the 7th seed. if we lose, we have to hope to god that the kings lose to the sonics, which will most likely not happen</div>

If we slip to the 8th spot, which will happen if we lose and the Kings win, then we'll face San Antonio, and not the Suns. Who do you think we have a better chance beating?

...Your exactly right! We have a better chance of beating the Suns which is WHY -despite the fact that we are gauranteed a playoff spot, like you said (right again!) - We want the 7th spot, and not the 8th...which is why we need to win this game.

Since there's no hope Lakers can meet Dallas in the 1st round since Spurs clinched 1st spot, I guess I'll take the 7th spot to face the Suns.

I think we'll be able to counter the Suns come playoffs with VERY GOOD defense, and more efficient triangle offense.

I will let the Kings give the Spurs a HELL of a time in the 1st round, that should be a very good series.

The benefit of being the 7th seed also sets the Lakers up to face the winner of the 3rd v. 6th seed matchup, instead of the 4th v. 5th matchup.

So if the Lakers can get past Phoenix they'll face the Nuggets or Clippers, and I like our chances at taking either of them out in 7 games, too.

The only time I want to see San Antonio is if we end up facing them in the WCF. [IMG]

    Yeah shape, I completely agree.

Few of my friends have called me crazy for thinking Lakers have a very legit at the WCF.

If we thought Kobe was disgusting in the regular season, oh my, in the playoffs, he will be RELENTLESS.

Guys, we don't just have the an All-Star on our team, we have the best player in basketball today.

Kobe is going to be putting in way more minutes in the playoffs (no more of that 6 minute rest in the 4th quarter like Phil Jackson normally does) He's gonna be in at the start of every quarter in my opinion, and he's going to MAKE SURE the Lakers get the job done.

Lamar and Kwame couldn't have found a better time to start playing their best basketball of the season. We have to let our momentum ride us into the playoffs and kill the Suns.
