Good, this kid could be a star if he developed a jump shot. I like him a lot, he does so many things that doesn't show up on stat sheets with his hustle. He keeps the ball alive and is very good at penetrating. I see him playing a more valuable role with us next year and potentially starting(I could see Hedo starting at SG and Ariza at SF or vice versa)

Another good thing is that he knows his jump shot is the weak part of his game. When I interviewed him he emphasized that he needs to improve his shooting consistency and in pregame workouts he was working on that a lot. He seems determined to improve his game and I think he is going to be an important player for us someday.

13 points and 12 rebounds...damn, I hate you Isiah. Ariza was my favorite Knick.

I think you should just become a permanent Magic fan since we now have two of your favorite players, Ariza and Arroyo.

    Also, Orlando's Future > New York's Future.

Great news. Ariza is energy and production off the bench, If he works on his jump shot then he'll be a great player for the Magic. He's a surprisingly good rebounder too, and of course he can throw it down. [IMG]

Is the minimum, or anything under $2 million/year, enough to keep Ariza around? The kid is young, has had two solid seasons, and is a solid defender. I could see a team like Houston or Minnesota jumping the boat and offer the kid a substantial deal.
