To be fair, I decided to start this one where you can name any NBA player who is in the playoffs and whom you consider most dangerous.

I consider Kobe to be the most dangerous because he plays with a chip on his shoulder, and with Phil's guidance, I expect the Lakers to either win or push the series to seven games.

Yeah I think Kobe is going to push the button in the post-season and play at a higher level than what we've seen.

I would have to say that the most dangerous Player in the 06 Playoff is Miami Heat Guard Dwayne Wade. He is one of the best players in the league and can dominate a game any time he wants. So watch out for him this Playoffs.

D-Wade's dangerous, yep. He is one of these players who can play with an extra gear. If he stays healthy enough to compete throughout the playoffs, I think Miami will go a long way.

Kobe is scary, because he can drop 50 on any given night, and I would not rule out the possiblity of him going off for 60-plus to ensure his Lakers advance. Kobe has been doing great this year, having a MVP-caliber season, but the playoffs is where you solidify yourself as an elite player or the elite player in the NBA.

    player post-season outlook

Here are some other people who I think will have a very good playoffs:

Nenad Krstic cause the other guys trust him, and his touch is too good.
Alonzo Mourning cause when he's fired up there are no layups by anyone.
Jerry Stackhouse cause he always delivers a basket when needed
Ron Artest cause defense and tough mentality
Kirk Hinrich cause he's not so amazing that you focus all your defenders on him, but he's pretty awesome and clutch player
Bruce Bowen cause you can't really choke when you're primarily a defender
Tony Parker cause he's faster than anyone else and can get into the paint against anyone.
Jason Kidd cause he realizes this might be one of his last times to really go for it.
Michael Redd, at least in the Jersey series. He will trade 3's with Vince all game long.
Dirk cause he wants to prove his doubters wrong
Lamar Odom - that's not a typo. I think Lamar doesnt' have the attention span for 82 games, but the playoffs will get his attention
Mike Miller cause he plays hard, defends and is an awesome shooter
Shaun Livingston - coming out party

I think these guys are going to be less than their usual self in the playoffs:

Shawn Marion - when his shot isn't falling, and Nash can't find him (which will happen because Nash will get pressured), he gets frustrated
Peja -he can only shoot open jump shots
Mike Bibby cause the PG position has gotten too quick for him
Andre Miller - he's outclassed by the other PGs in the west
Kobe - no, that's not a typo. He'll be forced into many bad shots. Please don't compare Kobe's playoff performances when Shaq was the focal point of the offense. I see many 8-29 type performances. His scoring will be high, but they will lose.
LeBron - it's his first playoffs, he will be double and triple teamed. It will be a sad early exit for LeBron but he'll be back.
Brad Miller - turnover prone; in the first round against SA they defend the perimeter great; he won't be able to do those clever things around the basket either; SA specializes in disrupting offense - he disrupts himself many times, I can already see him pouting on the bench in foul trouble with his headband on.

Who is more dangerous than Kobe? If you answered nobody, you are correct. He will keep the Lakers in it against the Suns, but they won't advance.

Guys like Kobe and Lebron who played 43+ min. in most games to get into the playoffs will be gassed. Thus, their production will decrease. The Lakers might make their series close against Phoenis, but they won't win, Phoenix has too many weapons. Also, Arenas and the Wiz are goin to stun the Cavs, I guarantee it.

Kobe is by far the most dangerous player in this years playoffs. He can score at will and I'm sure he will play amazing in the playoffs and make it a series vs. phoenix.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Vince Carter. Don't ask me why, but I just have a feeling he is going to explode. I dont see Kobe being that much more of a threat than he already has been this season.

My Top 5 would probably be LeBron, Wade, Kobe, Carter, and Sam Cassell in no particular order.

If he had the class of Tim Duncan no one would hate him.

Sure there is a degree of jealously, but there is also a lot of dislike for his character and his indiscretions.

Let's not kid ourselves, he's a superstar but he's an average bloke and that is the ONLY reason i dislike him.

Vince Carter will be a force in this years playoffs. He is going to have Michael Redd guarding him vs. Wilwaukee I believe and he should have a field day. If the Nets play Miami in the second round if they advance, he will murder them just look at his numbers against them this year. Kobe will get his points but the Lakers success will hinge on their role players.

    My list:
    1. Vince- will catch fire and should see some favorable matchups
    2. Kobe- even if he does 10-32 he'll go to the line a lot
    3. Wade- always shows up and we all know how good he can be
    4. Dirk- the guy is a monster and I think he is going to light up Pau Gasol
    5. Gilbert Arenas- I think he's going to explode against the Cavs.

    Argueable at best.

Because he had sex?(didn't rape and was an obvious fake scheme) Give me a break.....Other than this retarded damaging factor the thing that Shaq disliked him is also bull. Big deal another player didn't like him, because we know everyone loved MJ, Duncan, VC, Bron, etc.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Let's not kid ourselves, he's a superstar but he's an average bloke and that is the ONLY reason i dislike him.</div>

So is every other superstar, I bet other superstars did some dirtier stuff that never reached light. I heard that Kobe is actually a really nice guy, I had an article taped to my binder when I went to school that talked about how much of a good person he was and how he treated this kid from the crowd as if that child was his own. It's not like Kobe goes out raping women, pillaging towns, and stabs people.

    I hate haters.....[IMG]

Kobe is the most dangerous man in the playoffs, because
    A). He is unguardable
[IMG]. He can shut down anyone
C). He can score at will

Stop saying the Lakers won't advance to the second round, the Suns is a good team but they aren't untouchable.

I want the Suns or Spurs to under estimate the Lakers in Round 1. I prefer the Lakers being the underdog and having everyone doubt them.

He is entitled to the presumption of innocence, but you cannot possibly he was an innocent as a fact as you weren't there, and don't know anything more than what was written in the media.

And? Does that make Kobe's indiscretions any more right?

I'm not saying he's an awful person, simply that he's disliked because of his arrogant attitude and indiscretions.

BTW At the very least he cheated on his wife. And where i come from good blokes don't do that.

I didn't once comment on his ability.

Of course he's the most dangerous guy in the playoffs, but please don't confuse the two issues.

    Huh?

I've not said anything about the Lakers or their playoff hopes.
