Luther Head, Stromile Swift, and Chuck Norr -- erm, Hayes, all dominate. A quadruple double from Chuck, and 16 blocks from Stromile. Luther Head sets new career highs in 3 categories, and Rafer Alston. . still sucks (Yes, I've jumped the shark on Rafer). The support was great this season, and we promise that once the Rockets get winning again, it'll be even better. This one's for all of you, guys!</font> <font color="blue">AznxBaller: Its been a great one workin with the preview team. But first and foremost, I'd like to thank all the posters that have made all the game threads interesting and awesome, even if the season hasn't been great. </font> <font color="brown">Mag: It seems another season has drawn to a close, this being the first season of mine on JBB that we've not made the playoffs. Getting owned by Locke and AXB will be totally worth it next year, as it is always calm before the storm. We may have sucked this year, but injuries and crappy role players will not hold us back next season. Thanks for ridin' along the "JBB Rocket Board 'Our team is crap' Train," hope to see y'all during the offseason (we have some awesome shiznit goin' down), and a 50 win ballclub next year.</font></font> <div align="center"><font size="6"><font color="red">THANKS!!!</div></font></font>
Hmm. This is the last game of the season. This forums has been pretty kool!.. This season was great even though we didnt make playoffs.. Hope to see yall next year when we go all the way to the Western Conference Finals!.. bye and go ROCKETS!!! This is the last game so im predicting: Rockets 92, Spurs 86
Nice season guys. Hmm, close finish. Good thing Rockets lost the last game of the season. Wake me up when the draft is here... Oh ya if Seattle wins todays game (they most likely will up at the start of the 4th 87-71) we should be 9th pick overall. I hope David Stern gives us the 6th or 7th pick since we've had such a crappy injury plagued season.
Looks like the Spurs already gave the game to the Rockets but Rafer won't accept it, he wants more ping-pong balls. Anyway nice effort by the whole Rockets team to come back despite being bombarded by the Spurs on the 3s. It has been nice working with the preview team(Locke,Aznxballer,Mag,DanLe and Julio-R) and to all fellow posters thanks for sharing your thoughts and making the Rockets forum lively. I hope we all have a wonderful offseason to look forward.
How does the league decide on team records being the same ex. golden state and houston Is it based on who beat who more in the season? if it is then Houston will get the lower pick because were 3-1 againts them. I hope Stern gets to decide.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TmacGarnett:</div><div class="quote_post">LOL are you being sarcastic?</div> Yea I was thinking the samething to. http://www.nba.com/standings/team_record_c...ew_Std_Cnf.html No GS is lower than Houston once you put it in conference view. They couldn't base NBA Basketball on the simplicity of a coin toss.
Houston CHronicle says its done by random So GS and Houston have a fair chance of getting that 8th pick.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">They couldn't base NBA Basketball on the simplicity of a coin toss.</div>Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure that the Raptors got the seventh pick over the Knicks with the help of a coin toss. Either way, it was a 50/50 flip.
Rockets got the 8th!.. We won it against GSW.. it wasnt a coin toss. check this out.http://broadband.nba.com/cc/playa.php?cont...ank&video=blank. a guy put a two balls in the a basketball basket type thing with a ball that had houston on it and one with GSW on it. Some guy drew a ball and it was houston one. So we got the 8th pick. GS got 9th.. hehe.

It does make more sense to give it to GS because we beat them more, and if we were playing for playoff seeds, we would have taken the higher seed. I guess when it comes to draft, it's about chance...hmmm wonder why the NBA wants to control who they want to get the better draft pick? Lebron James anyone?
