WOW- I'm noticing EVERYONE so far has picked LA to beat PHX. I agree, but I'm interested as to what happened to always betting against Kobe and the Lakers? Anyhow here are my thoughts 1) Detroit vs. (8) Milwaukee- Detroit in 5 (2) Miami vs. (7) Chicago - Miami in 6 (3) New Jersey vs. (6) Indiana- Jersey in 7 (4) Cleveland vs. (5) Washington - Cleveland in 7 West (1) San Antonio vs (8) Sacramento- San Antonio in 6 (2) Phoenix vs (7) Lakers 6 - Lakers in 6 games (3) Denver vs. (6) Clippers 7 - Denver in 6 (4) Dallas vs. (5) Memphis- Dallas in 6 games
East (1) Detroit vs. (8) Milwaukee- Detriot 4-1 (2) Miami vs. (7) Chicago- Miami 4-2 (3) New Jersey vs. (6) Indiana- New Jersey, goes full 7 4-3 (4) Cleveland vs. (5) Washington- Washington 4-2 West (1) San Antonio vs (8) Sacramento- Good series I'm saying upset Sac wins 4-3 (2) Phoenix vs (7) Lakers- Phoenix 4-1 (3) Denver vs. (6) Clippers- Clippers 4-3 (4) Dallas vs. (5) Memphis- Memphis another upset 4-3 Give Dallas 1-2 years and they will come through in the playoffs if they keep there team. They have to keep Jason Terry or I think this team will fall apart
EAST Detroit vs. Milwaukee- Detroit 4-1 Cleveland vs. Washington- Washington 4-2 New Jersey vs. Indiana- New Jersey 4-3 Miami vs. Chicago- Miami 4-1 WEST San Antonio vs. Sacramento - San Antonio 4-1 Dallas vs. Memphis- Dallas 4-1 Denver vs. LACLIPPERS- Denver 4-3 Phoenix vs. LALAKERS- Phoenix 4-1
East- 1st Round Detroit over Milwaukee 4-1 Miami over Chicago 4-1 New Jersey over Indiana 4-2 Cleveland over Washington 4-3 West San Antonio over Sacramento 4-1 Los Angeles over Phoenix 4-3 Denver over Clippers 4-2 Dallas over Memphis 4-2
I hope people realize that picking Denver over LA is actually picking an upset? The Clippers are a better team than Denver, have overall better players, and with Maggette and Mobley back, have better depth. <u><font size=""4"">East</font></u> (1) Detroit vs. (8) Milwaukee Milwaukee will try, Detroit wins 4-1 (2) Miami vs. (7) Chicago Well Chicago made it, but sucks for them to have such a tough first round matchup. Chicago's guards will give Wade more trouble than usual in getting in the lane, but they're outmatched. Miami 4-0 (3) New Jersey vs. (6) Indiana Indiana will give New Jersey a tough matchup, but they have some good defensive options to throw at JO, and Peja is known for playoff troubles. New Jersey wins 4-2 (4) Cleveland vs. (5) Washington If Lebron wins MVP, then he could be the first one to lose in the first round. Butler is back, and with Caron, the Wizards are better than their record shows. We all know Arenas and Lebron will tear it up, but I think Washington takes this. Washington 4-3 <font size=""4""><u>West</u></font> (1) San Antonio vs (8) Sacramento Sacramento, good job getting Shareef to the playoffs, and bye-bye. Will Bowen guard Artest? San Antonio 4-1 (2) Phoenix vs (7) LA Lakers Hmmm, team work over having one guy do everything because the team isn't so great. With a guy like Kobe, you know they won't get swept. The Lakers have also had Kwame playing well, Mihm back, and Odom playing well. I can see this being a very nice series, but Phoenix has too many weapons. Phoenix 4-2 (3) Denver vs. (6) LA Clippers I'll say it again, Denver is the underdog in this, not the Clippers, it's an upset to pick Denver, not LA. Brand has no one to matchup to him, and the experience of Cassell and Mobley will be big. Q-Ross will frustrate Carmelo all series, and with people healthy, the Clippers will also have depth. LA Clippers 4-2 (4) Dallas vs. (5) Memphis Memphis, you did well, but unlucky matchup in this one. Gasol will do good, but Memphis just won't have what it takes against the Mavs. Dallas 4-1
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Best Kept Secret:</div><div class="quote_post">(2) Miami vs. (7) Chicago- My upset pick for the first round Bulls take it 4-3.</div> THANK YOU. The bulls are a cohesive unit, they are probably the 4th best defenisve team in the league and they're playing great. There's definitely an opportunity for them to come up with an all-time classic NBA playoff upset. It's not going to be easy at all and it will take them the full 7 most likely but Miami are vulnerable. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">(2) Phoenix vs (7) Lakers- Kobe will lead the Lakers past the Suns 4-3.</div> Okay, this i really disagree with. Does someone want to put their money where their mouth is on these ludicrous upset predictions? On what basis do people make this prediction? As far as I'm concerned Kobe's non-shaq postseason record is 0-0; it's a clean slate and we'll see what he's capable of by himself. 3 times out of 4 this year he hasn't led the Lakers past the suns, what makes you think he's going to turn it on in the playoffs. Chemistry (Phoenix) beats Individual Stars (Lakers) every Time! Just because Kobe is "clutch" or whatever doesn't mean the entire Phoenix system that has been effective all year is going to have a complete meltdown. You guys are giving way too much credit to No. 8. No, I'm not a Kobe hater, i'm objective.
^ The one time they beat the Suns, Nash and Raja Bell were resting too, so yes, it is quite interesting to pick that upset.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting spyware:</div><div class="quote_post">lol, how many of these "who will advance" or "who will win it all" do we need to respond to?</div> First of all. I created two threads that we could have a good discussion about. I created one about who'll advance and about one team who everyone thinks is going to win. My purpose for creating this thread was to hear people's opinions about who they think will advance and why they think the team that they picked is going to advance. I created the thread "who'll win it all" because I wanted to hear everyones thoughts on who they think is going to win the finals and why? Those two threads were discusabble and all I wanted to do is hear some thoughts and different opinions about them. Second of all. No one asked you to post a message saying how many of these threads do we have to answer to. If you have a problem with it, then I think you shouldn't answer to the threads. And what are you talking about we for? Your the only one who seems to have a problem with it!
