<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Build a wall around Dwight Howard so that he doesn't lose his focus Howard made huge strides in his development this season because he stayed focused, and because Coach Brian Hill was a stickler about how he was handled. Yet Howard still is at a very impressionable age (20), where others before him have strayed off course. If the Magic can keep him focused, he will grow into one of the game's greatest players. His offensive and defensive skills still need plenty of work. Continue to water and fertilize. Give Jameer Nelson the keys -- both on and off the court The Magic have decided that Nelson is going to be their starting point guard, so he also needs to become their spokesman both on and off the court. It should be about real leadership, and not just about bravado. He is a tough competitor who has overcome the odds of being too small throughout his athletic life, but leading an NBA team isn't as easy as it looks. He could do wonders for the development of Dwight Howard and Darko Milicic. Convince Fran Vazquez and his girlfriend to set up their love nest in Central Florida Although he shunned the Magic to play another year in Europe last season, Vazquez (above) should be wise enough to know that the real money is here if he can develop his game properly. He isn't as skilled as Darko Milicic, but he is big and would be better than anything the Magic can add in this year's draft. Putting him on this frontcourt would set up the Magic for years to come. Get Darko Milicic really fired up about his game and this team More than anyone -- even Dwight Howard or Jameer Nelson -- Milicic (below) holds the key to the Magic becoming more than just a contender. If they want to win a championship, they need Milicic to realize his vast potential. For a 7-footer with long arms, he has outstanding athleticism, good hands and a nice feel for basketball. He needs to spend this summer getting physically stronger and more passionate about the game. Add an enforcer to protectthe up-and-coming star big men If Mario Kasun isn't coming back, the Magic need at least one more frontcourt guy to supplement the Dwight Howard/Darko Milicic/Tony Battie trio. They need to add some muscle -- a guy who isn't afraid to commit a hard foul -- because if they challenge the likes of Detroit, Miami and New Jersey, those teams won't take kindly to the Magic joining the elite. Fix Grant Hill's latest health problem quickly and (hopefully) once and for all Although he takes plenty of grief for a high price tag and an inability to stay healthy, Hill still can be a valuable piece to a contending team. He isn't the Grant Hill of old, but he still is better than the majority of NBA players. He would be a nice, versatile piece, and happy to help facilitate the growth of Dwight Howard and Darko Milicic. At this stage of his career, Hill loved the chemistry he watched develop while he was on the sideline. Trade the first-round draft pick for a tested, veteran role player This draft is weak, and the Magic need to show progress quickly. With so many young guys, it would be a good time to add a veteran role player to the mix as long as he doesn't mess up the chemistry the Magic have developed. Unless you pick in the top five, teams don't benefit immediately from picks. This isn't the NFL. The NBA draft is overrated anyway. Put Pat Garrity back in the mix, or find another 3-point shooter The Magic underutilized Garrity this season, which is why they became one of the worst 3-point shooting teams in the league, failing to capitalize on a valuable weapon. As Dwight Howard develops his offensive game, it's vital to have a 3-point shooter on the floor to keep teams from collapsing around him. If Garrity isn't healthy enough to play, they need to add another shooter. Make sure to keep Carlos Arroyo happy Although he may have to take a back seat to Jameer Nelson at point guard, Arroyo (right) is huge when it comes to selling tickets, and his basketball skills are more valuable than people think. He is one of the few pass-first point guards who really moves the ball. If Nelson should falter, Arroyo can step in and become a good leader. Teammates find him fun to play with because of his passing ability. And it's fun to watch all his fans in the seats. Name Otis Smith general manager before someone else hires him away The former Magic player has proven his worth with Dave Twardzik providing the perfect player-personnel complement. It also would be nice to take another step in the Commitment to the Community push and find a place in the organization for former players like Nick Anderson and Dennis Scott.</div> Source Do you guys agree with this list of things that need to get done this offseason?
garrirty played a lot in the first 30 games or so and he didnt do anything... hedo was the only one shooting threes... they need stevenson to start shooting them again....also i think arroyo is happy already...he knows his role with the team and he will get his time for sure in the games...plus all the fans love him..why would he be unhappy
