<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Wannab Favre)</div><div class='quotemain'>We didn;t say he wins games but for some reason the Falcons wins games when he is playing. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (porky88)</div><div class='quotemain'>Public schools don't. Well theres a code of conduct as to what can and can't be wore but normal jeans and a shirt is fine. As for job it depends where. Sometimes yes. Sometimes know. If I were a basketball player and it really doesn't depend on me having to wear a suit like it would if I were a lawyer then I can see why their so ticked off. Like I said before though for 10 minutes it wouldn't kill me. So I can see the reason why they would complain but I can also see the reason why people are saying "Who Cares" Both sides have an arguement....</div> The vast majority of professional jobs have some sort of requirements for what you wear. Not all of them require suits and ties, but most require at least business casual. I think that any employer who has contractors or employees who are very public figures has every right to want them to look like professionals. And as a side point, a lawyer's job does not depend on them wearing a suit. They can do just as good of a job without the suit, but we know that a lawyer who is wearing a suit is a bit more professional at his job.

I thought this would be the year he posted decent passing numbers but it's just not to be. He's been awful. The team keeps winning though. It's not because of Mike Vick but maybe he makes the team better. I think the vast majority of it is because defensive coordinators worry to much about Mike Vick's running and forget about the Crumplers in the redzone and the Dunns and Ducketts. The defense is very good as well and might be why Vick looks good. The team seems to play better with Vick for some reason. Vick is kind of like a decoy because of his speed at QB.
I agree, he is a terrible passer. But his ability to run so well gets defenses confused. They just break down after he starts running. Having a QB that can run so well really changes the gameplan for the D. I think its stupid when people say they should put him at RB or WR, because he completely changes the game at QB. Until the Falcons start losing games I think everyone should stop questioning his abilities. But just imagine if he could actually pass the ball accurately, they would be unstoppable.
We didn;t say he wins games but for some reason the Falcons wins games when he is playing. And there are statistics to prove it!
With that thinking, Dilfer is one of the best QBs ever. In fact, the Falcons have made the Superbowl without Vick, so does that mean Chris Chandler (or whoever it was) is better than Vick? Ultimately, Vick is a game-breaking weapon, a decent QB, and a poor passer. Their are just certain jobs that require a dress code. Granted the basketball players work clothes is the shorts and jersey not a suit. The suit is established for the "publics eye" When a kid commits a crime or does anything wrong the parents blame whoever the kid remodels and say he influenced him to commit such actions. Like someone said in this thread would you want your kid dressing like he's going to rob a seven eleven. Well theirs only one person to blame for that and it's not Allen Iverson.

I think to say that the worlds problems are caused by how a small group of people dress is over-doing it. However, if Allen Iverson can "take one for the team", maybe there's one less excuse out there and maybe the real problem gets addressed. Maybe not, but at least we are closer, right? I just threw the lawyer thing out there for one reason, and that is to think about why lawyers really have to wear a suit. I hope everyone gives it some thought. I have a dress code here at work too. Most days, I could do just as good of work in my scooby-dos, but I don't have that choice. Why? I can think of two reasons. One, it helps put me in the midset that I am a professional. A professional appearance may or may not translate to a professional job, but that is one. The other is that customers etc. may be in the office. They don't want to trust their job to a guy that does work in his scoobies. Why not? I can obviously do the job. Professional attire is just what the general population wants to see. A basketball player doesn't play any differently because he wears a suit off the bus either. But the league is a business now, and there are the same customers that pay the league and players that do not want to see Allen in his flash anymore than they want to see me in my draft. They put their money down to match up their name with a player or a league and expect the image to look how they want. Bottom line, the person that pays the paycheck decides how you dress in most lines of work. If Allen or anyone else wants to make rap or hip-hop records for a living so he can wear the clothes he wants, he has that choice. Sorry...turned into a barber shop rant. Out.
