    Post game quotes from Bulls.com

    - Posey claims it wasn't intentional. He is obviously not a bright spark.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">On the flagrant foul:
“I was just getting back on defense. They had the numbers and I was just trying to get back to cover. I was coming from the side. He didn't see me coming. It was a collision and that's all it was. It was nothing intentional, I didn't think it was that bad but I guess that's his (Stu Jackson) job to call them. We'll just have to see what happens.”</div>

In the post game interview Pat Riley said he was disappointed in his player fouling someone like that.

"Maybe something happened at the other end, but I don't like that," he said of Posey's foul. "There's got to be some dignity in the game. The game was a very physical game. Both teams were playing hard."

If the league does not suspend James Posey they make it clear that they hold Artest to a double standard, although it’s already pretty clear, this would confirm it. If Artest is suspended for a foul that was not even called flagrant at the time. How in the world will this not result in a suspension. Stu Jackson was at the game as well, and said he could see Posey sizing up Hinrich to hit him.

There's no doubt Posey gets suspended. The history between these two teams is already edgey and the NBA is trying everything in it's power to clean up the "image" of the league. It's probably going to be a similar fine and suspension they handed Ron Artest.

great game three, the bulls shut down Shaq and forced everyone else to play. fortunately the heat couldn't replace shaqs points.

I was watching Around the Horn today and they said Stu Jackson is probably not going to suspend him, is that true? I might have heard it wrong.

They where just discussing what they thought would happen The bald guy from Los Angeles, I think, was the only guy who said they should not suspend him. Everyone else they should, and probably will. Also both Wilbon and Tony said they should suspend him on PTI.

Well, Alonzo Mourning saw limited minutes but you guys just outplayed us. However, I think Shaq was embarrased and he will come out firing sunday plus Zo will get more time and DWade broke his Chicago curse getting 24 points. Hopefully the Heat will pull it out.

Hard foul lands Heat's Posey one-game suspension
    ESPN.com news services

NEW YORK -- The NBA has suspended James Posey of the Miami Heat from Game 4 of their series with the Chicago Bulls for a hard foul against Kirk Hinrich late in the Bulls' Game 3 win. Posey was whistled for a flagrant foul penalty two for the incident, which occurred with 3:15 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Bulls' 109-90 win over the Heat. Hinrich was driving up the floor when Posey knocked him to the floor. Posey was thrown out of the game.

Game 4 will be played Sunday.

Posey, a seven-year pro, averaged 7.2 points and 4.8 rebounds per game this season. </div> Source

Wow, I think it's clear that the Shaq/Stu Jackson fued is still alive because Haslem shoudn't have gotten suspended and Posey should've been fined not suspended. It's not like Heinrich was injured or anything.

I don't think that has anything to do with it. They just made dumb mistakes, Haslem threw his mouthpiece on the side of an official which easily got him suspended just because he threw it where the official was, if he threw it anywhere else he would have just get a T. And Posey looked like he easily did it on purpose when he shouldered into Hinrich. You could however question Artests last suspension because of his past.

I would bet this has a lot to do with the NBA trying to lose a "hip-hop" image or whatever they call it and become more business attired. This is the NBA letting the players know once again to conduct themselves as professionals on court. I wouldn't have suspended him but I see where the league's coming from, they want a new image and if a player has to sit out a playoff game then so be it, a message is sent for the future.

based on that logic, if one player punches another but he isnt injured, he shouldnt be suspended because he wasnt injured?

regardless of injury or not, it was a deliberate act and extremely dangerous to side swipe someone who isnt looking.

lol. He probably thinks he doesn't deserve that but, what ever. Did you guys see that Shaq was fined 25K for criticizing calls during the game(s), didn't really read which specfic game it was for or if it was more than one.

Probably game three, since Shaq only criticizes the referees when he plays bad. Also, for those wondering, about the game preview for game four I should be able to get it up tomorrow morning since I am going to be getting up early for a workout I will write it after my work out. I have to do a five page essay though so if I can’t get the preview done sorry
