Yes but problem is you never know if the young guys are going to bloom and right now the window for a championship is 2 or 3 years so yah you see it? But if we can get young guys who can contribute thats even better. The thing is though evey team usually places young guyz as high prices unless they have problems with the team. So you see what i am saying?

I don't have a problem getting proven veterans as long as they're not 32 or older. Right now, this team just needs an overhaul and more players who can contribute on a consistent basis. We can have a team of young guys like the Hawks, but when these young guys start to become key players on the team, Yao and TMac would be "past the peak" by then. Guys like Cato, who is 32, can contribute. Playing with Yao in 04-05, he averaged 1.4 blocks a game. Considering the fact that we paid $30 million to Swift to do the same (which he didn't come close to) and are paying Howard $6 million a year, Cato at a projected $3 million would be a freaking bargain.

Other veterans like Bobby Jackson, Alan Henderson, Scott Pollard and Tony Delk would be welcome. They have proven that they can still contribute on good teams, and if they are signed for the right price, more power to the Rockets.

Right now i am just hoping that stro doesn't become the next contract hassel like Maurice Taylor and help us contribute. Young Guys are good but the ones that can contribute are few and far between. One interesting one that may come cheap is JR Smith he could give you 25 one game and give you 4 the next can he develop consistency?

I loved Cato playin alongside Yao, it gave us a whole different look. If we could get him back, for much cheaper, I'd feel better about losing Deke. But I love Deke too, and I'd make sure he's in a Rockets uniform next year.

Yea, Bobby Jackson would be great. I also wouldn't be opposed to any of those other guys. But it'll have 2 be more than just one player.
