Why is it that every fan from a different team automaticly just says that Shaq is old, and lazy and doesn't have it in him?!?! Then the Heat fans that watch every game think the complete opposite. Is Shaq as good as he was in his prime? Of course not, but what he's doing at his old age is still amazing and he is definitely still the most dominant force. Know one can take that away from him. It just kills me when I hear people count him off because hes older now, the fact remains Hes still nasty. Here are Shaq's numbers for this year: 05-06 Statistics Points: 20 ppg. Rebounds: 9 rpg. Assists: 2 apg. 20 points per game with alot less touches then he had in his earlier days, and still gets his 9 rebounds a game. Shaqs numbers demand respect and especially what he brings to a team; So next time your facing the Heat please think before you say that Shaq is washed up and out of shape. Thank you.
I think its that people don't like his additude, his whole idea of slacking off during the regualar season and turning it on in the playoffs could work when your in your twenties, but he has to change his attitude now.
They have to understand that he isn't at the stage in his career where he can play strong all year long so he needs to just take the regular season slow and then dominate in the post season. So far it's worked out pretty well for him throughout his career. True he is receiveing a lot less touches to.

At this stage of his career, I actually think he should take it easy on his body during the regular season and step it up in the postseason. And from what we seen from years before and today's performance, it has been and still is working.
I think Shaq proved all his doubters wrong yesterday. 27/16 and 5 blocks. All right, there are better defenders than Michael Sweetney, but Shaq still makes it happen.
