http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/attendance the nets are 19th in the league in attendance. does anyone know why? ive heard that new jersey didnt really care much for the nets, but you would expect a team of kidd, jefferson, and carter to be at least in the top 10. can someone tell me why? is it just because new jersey doesnt care about basketball?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting playmaker15:</div><div class="quote_post">That's why they are moving to Brooklyn. There is more of a want there for a team than in Jersey.</div> so there arent a lot of fans in NJ? also, when are they going to move?
It's always been low. I'm assuming the past couple years attendance has improved cause of Kidd and VC. Besides there being a low number of sports fans in Jersey, the meadowlands imo isn't that great. I think that attendance would be much higher if it were located in Newark or in Jersey City.
The location of the Meadowlands is a pain in the arse to get to from just about any place. Once you get there, you enter a boring white box, which you can tell is 30+ years old. Unless you have very nice lower-level seats, there really is no advantage to going to the game over watching it on TV. The stadium does not even fill up during playoff times (maybe finals are different), as I have learned when going to a playoff game.
