<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Ron Artest stayed in the Sacramento Kings? practice complex long after his teammates left Thursday, firing jumper after jumper with his injured right thumb heavily wrapped. After watching most of the last 1? NBA seasons from his couch, Artest is more than ready for his return to the playoffs ? and he seems completely unworried to see the defending NBA champion San Antonio Spurs across the court, playing outstanding basketball and coming off their best regular season in franchise history. In fact, Artest thinks the Spurs should be worried about the eighth-seeded Kings.</div> http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12413515/
This is why I wish the Lakers could've traded for him somehow....that kind of work ethic would be perfect with Kobe... Anyhow...I would LOVE to see SAC upset SAS, Im not a big fan of the Kings but I hate the Spurs even more, best of luck in the series
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting ilive4ball:</div><div class="quote_post">This is why I wish the Lakers could've traded for him somehow....that kind of work ethic would be perfect with Kobe... </div> you're confusing work ethic with temporary insanity
He can run his mouth all he wants, when you talk smack you know you are scared. the spurs let their game do the talking. Lets see how much he is talk when he fishing in two weeks
I don't understand this. To be a team struggling to get in the playoffs, facing the Former World Champion, Playoff Tested, Veteran Filled, Spurs, you certainly are an underdog. No pushover, but underdog. Spurs up 53 to 28. Spurs outscored Kings 21-4 so far in the second, with all Spurs bench players on the floor. Tony Parker dominating, 16 points in the first, 6-8 shooting, really 6-7 as the last shot was a wild attempt at a buzzer beater.
My personal oppinion is Ron said this to make it more interesting. But every player should think they have a chance to win. A player that plays in a series and says they have no chance to win; well their in it for the money alone, because why even play if your gonna say, yep we haven't a chance. But I'll show up and make playoff money anyway. It's like Shaq he said in L.A., that is all the Lakers had to do was finish amongst the top 4 seeds, and they would win the tittle as easily as if they were a 1 seed. Well based on 2 of the 3 rings Shaq won in L.A. he was right. So Ron just cares about the game and wants to win. But I'll admit he doesn't have the class Shaq has, and there is a big differance in Shaq makeing the 4 seeded statement and RonRon coming right out and saying we aren't underdogs to the Spurs. There is no Question who the underdog is, and it is definately the Sacramento Kings. And it's my beleife Ron knows that, I just think besides careing he's going to do alittle advertiseing on this series. And with that one preticular thing the league needs more guys like Ron and Shaq. Not to say they need the trouble along with it Ron has caused in the past, and sadly did in game 1 against Man. Ron come on now!
lets face it... is he saying a lot of stuff that really isnt going to happen? probably so... but who would you rather have on your team? Ron Artest who really does believe the things he is saying? or someone else who says " I dont really think we can beat them, but we are going to try".... I dont really think the answer is all that difficult.
