<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"At that point, the only way I was going to play in the playoffs was to get out there and get in somebody's (face)," Bell said in an interview before the Suns met the Lakers in Phoenix on April 7. "He was my job. I think people blew it out of proportion because it wasn't personal for me, and I don't think I was on his radar.

"Since then, we've had some pretty heated physicals. . . so I would tend to think he knows me now."

Bell remembers the elbow Bryant caught him with last year in Utah, and the one in November that bloodied his lip and "woke me up a little." And then there was an altercation on the sidelines in Los Angeles a few years back where Bell basically let Bryant know what he thought of him.

"Basically, I said, 'Don't be mistaken that because you can put a ball in a basket that you're a bigger man,? ?? Bell said. "I really think that in his mind, I'm inferior to him. Not talking basketball ? as a man. And for me, basketball is basketball. But you're not going to walk on me as a man, or we can take it right to the parking lot.

"He's a great player. He's going to get his points. But if I'm letting him get away with something that I can control, that's on me. If you let someone feel like they own you ? what's left?

"You can't let him take your heart in the process."

<font color=""Black"">If this becomes Kobe's approach throughout the series, the Lakers will have</font> <font color=""Red"">NO</font> <font color=""Black"">chance. In order for the Lakers to be successful, they must grind out and make this a team game. Phoenix will have their hands full keeping up with Phil Jackson?s devious plans to upset them. However, if the Lakers have any chance of upsetting the Suns even when they?re without Amare Stoudemire, they are going to have their work cut out for them. First, Kobe Bryant is going to have to pass the ball to Lamar Odom more often so they can create a post up game, which is something the Suns can?t handle right now. Kobe Bryant is going to have to average 35 points on 50 percent shooting to go along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds a game. Secondly, Lamar Odom is going have to average 21 points on 50 percent shooting 10 rebounds and 5 assist a night. Kwame Brown if you?re seeking a chance to redeem yourself at all, this is your chance. You have to average 15points and 10 rebounds a night. The Lakers will need to take the ball relentlessly inside. Bryant, Odom and the rest of the Lakers will need to execute their offense efficiently because Phoenix will score. Defensively the team needs to hold the Suns to under 100 ppg. Steve Nash will probably win MVP with Bryant unlikely to finish in the top two. A number of voters will be rethinking their vote after the fact when the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers are meeting at Staples for round two of the playoffs.

Didn't Raja learn anything from the Ruben "Kobe Stopper" Patterson indicent?? Come to think of it, this probably is one of these few grasps of publicity that Raj Bell is ever gonna get.. Kobe makes a lot of people's days, even when he's kicking their behind.
