We all seem to agree that we need a wing player and could Smith be the guy we need? His game is a bit raw since he jumped from high school but would it be smart to bring in another young guy? Post your opinions and I'll post what I think after a couple of you post.

Supposedly we were close to pulling a trade for him at the deadline involving Tony Battie.

I wouldn't mind getting him as long as he is a team player. I think I would rather just draft Brandon Roy or Ronnie Brewer instead. It all depedns on what we give up. Like if we swap him and Stevenson or something like that, that would be fine.(thinking that Stevenson will opt out so a sign and trade type deal)

hes very atheltic although from what i remember hearing is that he doesnt like to practice and he isnt much of a hustler...talented yes but if hes not gonna work on his game hes just another sixth man that we could use every once in a while

Depending on what the Magic give up like Gators said, it could be a good deal. IMO IF something like Ariza + something not too big could happen the Magic would do it, and should do it.

During the trade deadline time I was saying we should trade for him and eveyone did not agree, well now I think he would be an alright addition to our team he just needs to gain chemistry with our team he also needs the want to play he seems like he does not want to play.

I think i would rather have ariza or stevenson. I think Ariza is gonne be a very good player for this team. Very defensive minded and always crashes the boards.

I agree that we should just keep Ariza and Stevenson. Let Ariza get better and get a jump shot. And if Stevenson opts out, then we could draft someone in this year's draft, like Brandon Roy, Rodney Carney, etc. I'm not interested in J.R. Smith, he seems like he doesn't have enough drive or work ethic, I'd rather have Ariza or Stevenson or a Draft Pick from this year.

J.R. Smith is a baby, and his attitude would be a detriment to our team. No thanks.

J.R. Smith isnt that bad. He is developing into an all around wing player.

I hate saying it, but we could trade Deshawn Stevenson for J.R. Deshawn already said if his contract doesnt get renoggotiated he wants a trade.
To bad though, i liked him[IMG]

But you guys act like we have no wingman, Hedo Turkoglu was kilin it during the magics winning streak.

Exactly, the last thing you want is a player who is raw to go to a rookie team. He would be suited to go to a veteran team IMO, that way they wip him into shape.

Even though we are a young team, we still have our dominate personalities that would straighten him out. Grant Hill and Tony Battie are great lockerroom guys and Dwight and Jameer are both great character guys and are very mature for their ages that would straighten any bad attitude/work ethic guys. I can't wait to see the new Darko next year after an offseason dealing with these guys.

I would rather keep Ariza and Stevenson, but if Stevenson is going to opt out, I wouldn't mind trading for J.R. Smith so we get something in return for him.

About Hedo, we already have him slotted in and we just need another swingman. Ariza could be that player, but Stevenson and Dooling are best suited for the bench.

I want Ariza to stay as well, the kid has mad talent and I hope it blossoms in Orlando. I loved that 11 point, 11 rebound game. My friend who likes the Knicks called Isiah a fu**ing idiot. [IMG]

I think J.R. Smith has a very large amount of Tallent, butr I don't know if I like his attitude. it's willing to give himb a shot, hes got onlyu 1 year left on the contract, right?

The team has that option. He was in Dwight and Jameer's class, so his rookie contract runs out in 2 years, but there is a team option for the final year.

Trevor Ariza is also a FA, but i read in an article that the GM states, TRevor Ariza will defenitly be back. Without a doubt he will be.
