<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Pioneer Press - A source told Charley Walters of the Pioneer Press that Marcus Banks will seek a five-year $29 million contract, but settle for $17 million over four years.</div> Seems like to much to give him.
Banks is a decent player but the most I'd pay him is about 17 Million over 5 years, not even close to 29 Million.
17 over 4 is a bit much i'd say...his numbers were good with minny but he doesnt have much else before that period. I'd say a fair contract would be 10 million over 3 years or at very max 15 million over 4 years.
I can see him signing a short term deal with the view to really boosting his value for his next contract after that. Still, if anyone offers him over 5/20, I'm not sure he could knock that back in the end.
Yeah, he's not good enough to get that kind of money. Sure, your numbers have been astronomically multiplied with a little more playing time, but let's get it straight: how will you do on a team like the Cavs? How will you help your team win? I wouldn't mind seeing him on the Hawks, though.
