    I saw this on REALGM.COM
and was wondering what are all of your takes on this issue.

Would you guys welcome VC back to the raptors in 07 if he opts out?
It's obvious that the Raptors have a far better future than the nets (with their young talent), and by 07 if we have a chance to sign VC for lets say *8-13* mill a year, would you guys jump at this opportunity?

I'm pretty sure we can put the 13 Mils/Yr he's gonna demand to better use.

While Im all for second chances, there is no way i wouldwant carter back here. First he dogged it while he was here and i doubt he would opt out just cause his expcted salary would be 16.3 mil. secondly, you could spend it more wisely, some options might be: Billups, magloire, Josh Howard, Ridnour, Kaman( if he cuts his hair), Boris Diaw, t.j ford, Leandrinho Barbosa.

Also: D wade, Lebron and Melo, although probably not realistic)

I wouldn't mind him back but not if it's a huge contract...and realistically, this will never happen because the city of Toronto will bomb the ACC before they let this signing take place.

Screw that ...... not in a million years. I'd really have to reconsider being a fan of this franchise if they brought him back. He's everything and more of what I hate about professional athletes. It's because of him that we got short end of the stick in that deal with NJ. People can blame Babcock all they like, but Vince's Oscar performance as a washed up basketball player was very convincing and as far as we know the Nets offer might have been the best option as sad as that might sound. I singlehandedly blame him for the immediate downward spiral this team had taken over that past couple seasons.

He gave up on this team, this city and upset too many people across this country to even consider Toronto as a option after next season. VC can rot in hell for all I care. Plus, I don't believe BC tolorate's lazy demeanor's.

I'm sorry guys, but I'd like to see the Vincesanity back in T.O. and also, just because I still have his jersey and want to put it to good use.

You want an extra one spy?

Anyhow, we aren't that forgiving. We're a stubborn bunch so not only would the fans give him a hard time, the media would rip him a new one too.

I thank him to a degree because he did help put the Raptors on the map, but I can't forgive him for the way he went out. Sure the Raptors management had their problems, but the way he quit on this team is inexcusable in my opinion.

I think we've all pretty much moved on though, except I get sort of lonely when I see that jersey I got 2 christmas' ago and I look out my window, and I realize there's a lot of you people out there with your VC jerseys too. I also have the Bosh bobblehead from that Bosh bobblehead night against the Spurs...which makes me really happy, hehe. And my gf usually puts on the Carter jersey for fun, without any bra or anything, which is pretty sexy.

I'd put realgm.com article's credibility at about the same level as graffiti I saw on a bathroom stall

Thinking that Carter would have enough face to even consider returning to Toronto is just ludicrous. He knows he's not liked here, why even bother to talk with Toronto about signing a deal? It's not like he can't get one anywhere else.

you remember when AD demanded a trade, and how unhappy we all raptor fans were. I remember a lot of people were talking about how its good that AD is gone, and how they'll never want to see him back in a raps uniform, and etc. Well, did anyone expect him to come back?
And most raptor fans did cheer for him at the ACC

Imagine if VC was back. With Bosh, Charlie V, and Vince the Raptors will be great.

That was for a salary dump though. Would you sign AD now that he's a free agent? Hell no. And Toronto fans hate Carter a billion times more than Davis. There's no chance.

It's not that I hate him, it's because he'll be 30 making around 13 million dollars. That's way too much for a SG like Vince Carter who we all know settles for too many jumpshots.
