So now they have a "schedule" leaking/annnouncing an award winner every several days to generate conversation. That's fine if the NBA PR with a mediocre playoff ahead of them want to add a little spice every few days or between series to keep fans talking/arguing about the NBA and the awards. This gives all the Bogut, Villanueva, Felton homeboys the opportunity to keep the conversation going about ROY. It also occurred to me that the appearance(s) and receipt of the award by an engaging, articulate and buoyant young man like Chris Paul would really add the glow of star power to some of the moribund series thus far. I can't be the only one thinking this.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Salim For 3:</div><div class="quote_post">Still crossing my fingers for a Salim Stoudamire RoY, myself. </div> Salim Stoudamire gets my vote for most surprising showing by a draft pick. Afraid Rookie of the Year has already been (it's now officially an unofficial leak) overwhelmingly awarded to Chris Paul. If you look around the web this AM, particularly in the NOLA and OK paper sites, their reporters have already made the calls to voters so they can "leak" the news first like Dallas and Ft. Worth beat reporters found out about Avery Johnson winning Coach of the Year.
Paul is the only rookie to win the honor every month with only four other players: Duncan, Robinson, James and Melo.
Everyone already knows Chris Paul is the rookie of the year all people are waiting to see is the margin of victory. It’s kind of like knowing a team will win, but rooting for the opposing team to beat the spread if you don’t like Chris Paul.
Chris Paul should be a unanimous pick to win. Their are always a couple of idiots who make ridiculous votes.
Guys Chris Paul's an unstoppable rookie IMO. Simply sickening. He'll win ROY, most likely a future allstar. Shoot...He is bringing live back into this fading franchise of the Hornets, and almost got them in the playoffs. Easily....Chris Paul = ROY
