Ok I know we're doing fantastic with the Deisel but I was just wondering how we would be right now if we would've kept out old team.

We'd be looking at this lineup

    PG: Dwyane Wade
    SG: Caron Butler
    SF: Eddie Jones
    PF: Lamar Odom
C: Alonzo Mourning(I think Zo would've come back to finish his career in Mimai regardless of Shaq coming or not)

We'd still have our picks this year and I think we could've still won this division with that lineup. We'd be looking at a pick late teens early 20's. Your thoughts?

JBB Accord will still be posting. LOL.

I really liked the Heat team with those players. They were a young, upcoming powerhouse with a lot of options to build around the core of Wade-Odom-Butler.

This team also had Alston, Rasual Butler, Haslem and Malik Allen coming off the bench for solid production.

With Eddie Jones and Brian Grant's expiring contracts, the Heat would have the flexibility to build a team around Dwyane Wade and Lamar Odom.

The first year with Shaq, the Heat only got one round further in the playoffs.

I really hate to say htis because I love Shaq, but I think we would've been better off staying with Odom and Butler. I think Alonzo would've stepped in and played at the level he played at this year and I think we could be a team like the New Jersey Nets that no one wants to pla in a later round because they could get upset.

If Miami doesn't win this year do you think Pat Riley would consider trading Shaq?

I highly doubt it, they just signed him long-term. PLus, I don't want to now because he gives us the best chance to win.

I don't know if we would be better then we are now, but we would be pretty darn good. As a fan, that was one of the most exciting years to watch, Wade we all know is nasty, EJ is money, and now Caron is doing big things in Washington, Odom is a great all around player, and Zo is just a beast. Then our bench would be awesome with Alston bringing in some energy, and Rasul has a nice shot. That team was great, and was also on the come up, but then again the Diesel is the Diesel and with him on any team, the team will improve.

Well I would have still liked it to have J Will in our squad.
We need someone else to bring the ball up.
C Butler coming off the bench of EJ would be great too.
But yeah I loved Lamar with us. I miss him badly.
