I was thinking about some nasty point guards earlier today, and these 2 are both extremely talented point Gods. They play pretty similar games, so my question is which player do you think is better?

Hands down Mike Bibby is better than Jason Williams. I have gotten to watch both of them alot living in Sacramento. Both are good shooters for PG's. When Mike played for Vancouver he averaged more assists than Jason did with the Kings. But then, visa versa, as Mike joined the Kings and Jason became a member of the Grizzlies Franchise, from that point Jason averaged more assists. It's math is all. Dureing the past 8 years the Kings as a team in whole have so many great passers -(even the big men always did) that it took away from who so ever was bound to be the best passer on the team anyway. The 2 things both players lack is defense. But even at that Mike is alittle better. Out side all this being said there is simply no comparision as to which of these 2 are better. Mike, has been the Kings best scorer the past 3 seasons, and if you check the stats has a higher FG, and 3-Pt FG PCT. Jason just slitely cuts him out at the Foul Line. Mike is one of the better clutch shooters in the game today; the most famouse shot being the one that defeated the Lakers in game 5 of the Western Confernce Finals in the 2002 season. And his clutch shooting has only improved since then.

Jason so to speak is average at best, when it comes to clutch shooting. Jason Williams game and maturaty there of it was completely out of controll in his earliar days. Although I have League Pass, so I'm well aware that it has since improved. Mike has always, as his Father Henry Bibby before him, had real good sense on a feel for the game, real disciplend and extc.... I beleive today Mike is better in every satistical catogory with the exception of APG -(Already explained why that is), SPG, and FTP. And yet the stats show Mike is right on the tail of Jason even in these stats. As the Zen Master -(Phil Jackson put it), "When Jason played up there their team was out of controll and seemed more interested in just goofeing off. But Mike has brought a sense of fire, and not nessacarily verbally, but playing wise at the Point has brought great leadership to them. I'm actually more concered about them now, than when Jason played there"!

Mike Bibby in the 2004-05 season came within an inch of his first career All-Star. In my mind Jason has always been, Oh, I wouldn't say over-rated, but considered better than he actually is do to that first 2-3 seasons he played in the league, and wasn't really even that good statistically so to speak, but what he did do was so outstandingly flamboyant/flashy, it got such oohs & ahhs out of the crowds that the whole nation had fever for J-Will : AKA White Chocolate. But beleive me, I've not neglected watching either of their careers in Sacramento, or any of Mike's games prior to SacTown nore J-Will sense do to League Pass; there is no question as to both who the better and more valuable PG is. It's definately Mike Bibby by far. GO KINGS!!!!!

Mike Bibby is the better player hands down. He is a very consistent scorer and makes everyone around him better. Jason has been outstanding this year but Bibby just hasa more of a complete game.

look what happened when they got traded for each other. Sacramento went from 1st round knockout to western powerhouse that says something right there
