after the way our guys have been playing in the last couple of games, and in the playoffs, and how the teams chemistry has been coming together, im just wondering what you would give up for KG, or if you would even want to trade for KG. let me tell you first off, that the guys the t-wolves will most likely want will probably be odom, kwame, bynum, and smush? i would trade odom for KG, as well as kwame for KG, but not both in the same package. if the wolves want bynum, they can have him, only if they give us troy hudson, their pg. my ideal trade would be, odom and bynum + a pick? for KG and hudson and a possible filler? or it could be kwame and bynum and a filler, for KG and hudson. simpily said and done, im not willing to blow up the roster we have now for KG. so if we do aquire him, i want us to trade away as little as possible the reason i dont want to give up too much for KG is because of the fact as to how much ive seen our players improve towards the end of the season, and the chemistry they have developed. i feel that if we play the way they are playing now, we could easily be the top seed in the pacific. with that being said, i think we are only one or two players away from being championship contenders with our CURRENT roster, so i dont want to see us blow it all up for KG. if we can use our MLE smart, and draft smart, we can be back in championship form quickly. the only real weakness i see in our roster is the point guard position, which can be fixed via free agency.
Nothing! Absoultely nothing. This teams is growing while KG is on the Decline. All we need is a Veteran PG and I think we can get it in Cassel. And hopefully we can pull off a sign and trade with Peja. Cassel and Peja should be the Lakers target this offseason. Unless KG says " I want to play for the Lakers or I'll retire " Off-Topic I love the Eagles front 4. E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles!
This is a tough call. Honestly in the beginning, I wouldn't be hesitated to call for a trade but now I don't know. The way LO and the rest of the Lakers played lately, we shouldn't make any trade to break them off. Beside LO and Kobe have a great chemistry together. But KG is a great player who will be deadly at both end of the floor. He and Kobe will make the Lakers an instant championship contender. Also imagine Kobe and KG in a pick and roll, there's noway to stop that. KG is a guy who play with passion and aggression. He doesn't try to be cute going for a layup, instead he will hammer it down with an authority and power. Thats what make him so special. But if I'm the GM now, I would offer Chris Mihm, Brain Cook, 1st Round draft pick or Andrew Bynum for KG (no chance of happening). If the Sota doesn't want that, then sorry. NO deal then. In this summer, Lakers should sigh a solid veteran PG and a consistent low post PF, and we're set for a championship run.

I don't really know. I mean, with the way the team has been playing lately, I don't see a need for KG.

We're improving but not to the level of the Spurs and Pistons yet. Lets not get ahead of ourself, the west is TOUGH! Beside we're beating the Phoenix without Amare and Kurt and there's still 1 game left to go.

He is past his prime and is already declining. What we need is to keep training Bynum so that he could be a great center in the future. Kareems done wonders with Brown and pretty soon Brown will start being the agressive everybodies been hoping he'd be. With Bynum being so young Kareem will train him to be one of the best in the league. All we need is a veteren point guard. A person who could take Sasha and Smush to that next level. I can't wait to see what offseason moves the Lakers will make...but as for now I'm focusing all my attention to the playoffs. KG is the last thing on my mind.
id give up bynum, ,mihm, cook, jackson and mckie hehehe everybody thats not doin anything ryt now hahaha
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting philip2136:</div><div class="quote_post">hey were talking about the best PF in the nba!</div> I disagree, I dont want to turn this thread into a Garnett - Duncan thread, but I think Duncan has an edge over Garnett.
I wouldn't trade away the chemistry that your team is showing right now for KG honestly. I can't see the Twolves trading KG to the Lakers if they aren't recieving either Kobe or Lamar.
If it ain't broke don't fix it. For selfish reasons I would still want KG on the Lakers. Watching my two current favorite players on the same team would be a dream come true on a personal level.
for some reason. i dont want KG anymore. our roster is a tight nit group, and i really like our chemistry
With the way LA is playing lately, I wouldn't do anything. This team has really shown a lot of growth throughout the course of the season. They went from the Kobe Bryant Show to finally molding as a team and seeing everyone play the way they can play. Lamar has been a beast so far in the playoffs, Kwame has continued his stellar play, Luke is playing great, and Smush has stayed consistent. This team is finally putting it all together, and if they keep it going and go far in the playoffs, I don't see why upper management would want to dismantle this team.
