With Chandler most likely gone for game 5, Malik, Sweetney, and the big Aussie are going to have to pick up his min. What are going to be some keys for chicago to contain Shaq, Haslem, and Zo down low?
malik and sweetney have been playing very well vs shaq, but chandler drew 3 fouls last game(on shaq), malik and sweetney are going to have to draw some on him. I think our gaurds are gonna have to step it up more than ever nad Nocioni is playign great but he needs to stop driving in the lane with no clue as to what he's gonna do when he gets there, he gets a charge for everyone that he draws it seems like.
He only ha sa moderate ankle sprain we don't play until Wednesday I think so he might be ready. If he doesn’t play the key will be to without a doubt keep Shaq in foul trouble like we have done the last two games. We will likely have to double team him a lot though because of the lack of size the guys defending him will have. Maybe revert back to the hack a Shaq technique. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Tyson Chandler had to be carried off the court with 26.3 seconds left Sunday, but the Bulls center said all he suffered was a sprained right ankle, and he expects to play in Game 5 on Tuesday in Miami. ''Don't worry, I'll be all right,'' Chandler said. ''I'm fine.'' Chandler came down on Kirk Hinrich's foot and lay on the court, doubled over in pain, as the action moved to the other end. Bulls trainer Fred Tedeschi and reserve center Luke Schenscher carried Chandler off the court. ''We're calling it a mild to moderate sprain,'' Tedeschi said. ''We're taking X-rays as a precaution and listing him as day-to-day. ''We'll have to see what it looks like in the morning. He rolled it to the side and got a little bit in the front, so it's not exactly a garden-variety sprain.'' Tedeschi said Chandler felt a pop. ''He has a history of ankle sprains, so that's pretty common,'' Tedeschi said. If Chandler's ankle flares up, look for Schenscher -- who didn't play Sunday -- to get some minutes. ''I'm always ready,'' Schenscher said. ''I won't have to prepare differently or do anything differently.'' Chandler had only one point and three rebounds Sunday, but his contributions extend beyond the box score. ''He's a huge part of this team,'' forward Malik Allen said. ''It would be a big blow if he couldn't play, but the other bigs would have to step up. ''His defensive intensity is big for us, and he gets rebounds and takes up space and changes shots in there with his length.''</div> Source
Playing is one thing, being effective is another (ie Alonzo Mourning). I don't think the Bulls should rush Chandler back from an ankle sprain. The problem with having a bum ankle is keeping it from tightening up. Once Chandler comes in the game he'll be fine, but once Skiles benches him his ankle is going to swell up again. I think they should save him for Game 6 unless their frontline is in foul trouble late, in a very close game and Skiles needs Chandler to buy his bigmen a few minutes. Otherwise, give him the extra days to really get his ankle healed up. The Bulls are good enough to beat Miami without Chandler.
They are going to need Chandler to take a load of minutes tomorrow in Miami more than ever if Chicago wants to win.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting I-Miss-MJ:</div><div class="quote_post">BKS - Bulls play on Tuesday</div> Yeah I just realized that. Oh, well better get to work on that preview it will be up before the game tomorrow. Chandler is playing, so I'm happy! This is a huge game a must win in my opinion so we can have a chance to seal the series in Chicago. If we win this series I'm changing my user name, or something because it would be huge.
