I agree that we should fire Stern. Not only does he not care, but he is doing a terrible job with the NBA imo. Stupid dresscodes, and to me NBA is too focus on promoting individuals than teams.
You're looking at the small details though. Look at how he's improved the League's popularity, finances, cap system, etc. Trust me, after watching Gary Bettman make a mess of the NHL, you would appreciate what Stern has done for the NBA. This issue though is a bit extreme.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting InNETSweTrust:</div><div class="quote_post">If you guys clicked on "Full Story" first before posting, you would have known that he did make a contribution. No fanfare whatsoever, just pulled out his checkbook.</div> Again I still don't get why he just doesn't pay the whole thing I mean 325,000 dollars for an NBA player is nothing. Why not just pull out the check book and donate the money these people need?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting The Soft Parade:</div><div class="quote_post">Wow. I`m speechless. This looks like Stern lacks a heart.</div> ahahah aint that obvius already

Wow, shameless on Stern's part. One would think it's easy for a NBA player to write a check for three hundred grand, but it probably isn't. At least Theo did donate a signiificant amount. In retrospect, Stern brought more publicity to the girl by banning Theo from advertising the site.
