<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">When Cem Dinc made a recruiting visit to Indiana University last summer, he said he hoped to play one season at IU, then go to the NBA. A combination of injuries and a lack of progress resulted in the 6-10, 240-pounder playing in just three games. He scored three points in 12 minutes of action. Dinc still thinks he has a shot to play in the NBA now. In an e-mail from his parents' home in Germany, Dinc said Sunday he will enter the 2006 NBA draft without hiring an agent. The deadline for underclassmen to enter the draft was Saturday. "I have decided to enter the NBA draft and will see where I stand,'' Dinc said in the e-mail. "I'm keeping my options open, including the option of returning to Indiana." Dinc said he will train in Atlanta. By not hiring an agent, Dinc would have until June 18 to withdraw his name. The draft will be held June 28. He said he wasn't sure if he would receive an invitation to the NBA pre-draft camp that will be held in Orlando, Fla., June 6-10. Dinc went home to Germany for spring break about a month ago and has yet to return. He is doing his class work online. He has not participated in any of new coach Kelvin Sampson's offseason workouts.</div> Source
While it looks like he'll likely go back to school or go to Europe, I might risk a pick on him in the late second round. He's probably the biggest unknown in the entire process, but just looking at his physical attributes, you have to like his potential. He's 6-10, 240 lbs., runs a 10.8 in the 100 m, is very long and athletic, and he can play every position on the court. I really hope they give the kid an invite to Orlando so we can see what he's really made of.
