Doubt we take him. I think, if available, the Lakers go for Jordan Farmer.

We dont need to draft a PG...we need to sign a veteren pg. Smush and Vujacic are doing great at this point. A PF would be nice even though Kwame has developed amazingly. I also wouldnt mind a SG...Kobe's experience and talent could help a rookie develop quite nicely. Either Shawne Williams PF, Rudy Fernadez SG, or Tiago Splitter PF. Any of these picks would be a nice addition.

Actually we do need a Center the most. Bynum is still too young to have any impact in the game. We obvously have Ronny as a backup PF. Lakers probably will sign a veteran PG and Smush will likely move to the bench. Also this might be an indication that Mihm will be gone this offseason.

Tang wont be a first rounder, mark my words. He's an international prospect that nobody has seen go head to head with other talent in this years draft class. Being 7'1" wont gaurantee him being a first rounder but you never know I've seen this guy on TV once and he was outplayed by other veterans in the chinese league he's in and I dont think he's all that great to be a first rounder if he's getting outplayed by some of the guys there. He does have a nice NBA body though but whats the point in drafting another project center with our first rounder when we already have Andrew Bynum to work on? He's being scouted to possibly be our second round pick at this point, but theres a lot of time left between the draft and today so he could raise his stock.

I know you might have not intended to make this an offenseive comment in any way, because I don't believe it's in your character to do so, but could this phrase be put into nicer terms rather than an "asian player"..saying him would've been better because you don't want to come off as not wanting an asian guy at all...regardless of any asian prospect who may be good.

This is by no means an attack on you or anything...more a signal light kind of thing

    Asian people are pretty tall.....

All jokes aside I wouldn't mind a good tall Center. That and a PG is what we desperately need.

I think with all the right coaching...asian players can be great in this league if they were taught the american game and were more involved with the US game...and receiving training and coaching from a US game standpoint they would be great....but i do blame the chinese government a little bit for that..they do limit their players alot

Yi Jianlian is the player I'm waiting for. I've been tracking him for awhile now, and I think he'll be an influential player for the next generation of Chinese basketball players.

Unfortunately, he pulled out of this year's draft, he didn't feel he's ready to step in and contribute in the NBA.

Sun Yue sounds intriguing because of his height and playmaking abilities. He has the triple threat skills to work in the Triangle. I haven't been blown away by the clips I've seen of him. I'd like to see how he does against the top PGs in this year's draft for a better comparison.
