I think it's funny that Raja Bell is saying to the media that he doesn't respect Kobe. How can you say you don't respect someone that is better that you. To make matters worse he thinks he has the right to mouth off to Phil Jackson. That kid needs to learn his place in the NBA, take his elbows to his mouth, and shut up. He's obviously doing something wrong if he's the only one getting elbowed by Kobe. Nash doesn't have time to baby sit Raja and keep him out of trouble. He has a job to do, and Raja is just F'n things up for Nash.

Lakers should know that they're winning the series with the help of the refs. if they win..good on them, but they had a 6th man on the court at all times.

Who's the sixth man? Is it Kobe's anger due to the attempted murder?

    Kwame started this

To me the whole thing was set off when Kwame Brown as Steve Nash said stood over Boris Diaw "with his crotch in his face". You want to talk about no class? That's the next level. If i was Nash in that situation I would have gotten in Brown's face and it might be palace of auburn hills part 2. You know that made everyone on the Suns mad.

Also talking about how Raja Bell is just a role player etc. vs Kobe and Phil with their resumes is irrelevant - respect should not be given more to people with more stats.

stop trying to justify bell's actions. "well this and this happened before and blah blah..." Bell didn't just want to foul kobe, he wanted to take him out. how dirty is that? bell did the choke move to kaman before. he's just a dirty player. BOTH teams have been playing very physical, but raja crossed the line after his foul.

and the suns fans need to stop blaming the refs. are you that biased, that you don't see any fault in the suns? lakers are out-playing them. it's that simple. i'm sure suns fans thought it would be a blow-out with it being a 2nd seed vs. a 7th. when that didn't happen you all tried to look for excuses for your team. give me a break. and yes they refs do make some bad calls (and non-calls) but that's on both sides of the court (i'm sure with your biased thinking, you don't see the crap the suns get away with, yea?)

blame the suns for under-estimating the lakers. blame the lakers for playing the best basketball they've played all year. stop with this "conspiracy theory" crap.

If Raja Bell is garbage, then what are you? You sound like you don't even know how to dribble a basketball up.

Alot of NBA fans are tired of Kobe getting compared to Jordan, Kobe is the most praised player in the NBA, of course theres going to be Kobe haters. and Raja Bell is a Messiah to all Kobe haters. I couldn't have been more happy to see Raja do that uncalled for foul.

You joked yourself, you sound too bitter.

First of all, Phil (the joke) Jackson said outloud that "he deserved it" (while kobe bryant elbows Raja Bell. That is why the foul was commited by Bell I believe. I am praise Bell for the foul. Kobe was getting mad because he couldn't be "The Man" because Raja was defending him. Now that he is out, I think that kobe will try to score 50 to throw it in the SUNS face. LOL. I hope he trys. LB can stay with kobe any day of the week.

^hmm. Kobe avg 40 ppg in the reg season against phx and on ur sorry ass flopping raja bell. Kobe hit the game two shots both on the floppers face in game 4 to win the game. So thats not being "The Man"? And if Kobe was getting mad he wouldve beat the floppers ass after he threw kobe down, but he just got up like a man, brushed his shoulders off and smiled.

Kobe got his bell rang, Raja won. Raja challenged to fight Kobe, and Kobe punked out.

how did he punk out??? He didnt fall for his trap. The suns are trying to get into Kobes head. They were trying to get Kobe to fight the flopper so they both will get suspended and suns win series, thats why kobe didnt fight him. If it was the regular season i bet Kobe wouldve got up and poped the flopper in the mouth.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting emannen:</div><div class="quote_post">Your comments about Jerry Colangelo are uncalled for and I won't even go into it. As a "leader" on this forum I would expect more of you.

Raja Bell's foul was a dumb play, but if it was consistent with the officiating in the series it should not have lead to a suspension.

Did a certain Lakers player, who is being investigated for sexual assault (familiar???), elbow Boris Diaw in the face and then stand over him in a taunting fashion with his crotch in his face????

You cannot justify Brown intentionally hitting another player in the face. Elbowing in the face isn't even tolerated in the NFL, and it doesn't matter what lead up to it, the end result was Brown going right after Diaw. He didn't even attempt to make a play on the basketball, his intent was to injure Diaw and then stood around and committed an almost homosexual act.

[IMG] I think I read this somewhere.

Was Brown ever suspended or fined? Was Kobe for pushing Diaw, and causing a melee? Was Walton for nearly tackling Thomas?

The bottom line is Bell overacted. In his defense he has not gotten a single call this series. Even a homer Lakers fan can realize that. Bell quite simply never gets a call when he is on the offensive end (he does frustrate Kobe when he flops though[IMG] ). After the referees missed an elbow to the face, and a push to the ground Bell lost it.

Also Bell was smirking and taunting Phil Jackson after the "Hall of Fame" coach did some unprofessional things in his own right. At the other end of the court just before Bell threw Bryant down, Bell said he complained to referee Greg Willard about getting hit in the face, and Lakers coach Phil Jackson hollered out that Bell "deserved it," and added a profanity to emphasize the point. Nice!!!

Quite simply, I can’t stand the Lakers. It must be depressing to cheer for a team with so many bad people. Lamar Odom (marijuana), Brown (sexual misconduct), Kobe (adultery). It’s easy to root for the Suns because they have players who are professionals on and off the court (Nash, Matrix, Amare, Thomas, Bell, Barbosa, etc).

If you would like to unfairly criticize one of the most respected individuals in all of basketball please be more concerned with your team first, especially Kuame Brown who is in some unfortunate legal trouble.</div>

What does criticizing Colangelo have to do with the Laker players off court issues? I don't condone anything those players have done off the court.

    How is it unfair criticism?

Kwame Brown did not elbow Diaw in the face, if he did he would have been suspended. He got T'd up for taunting. Standing over Diaw was stupid on his part.

What Raja did to Kobe was on an entirely different level than any of the hard fouls by the Lakers. It was premeditated and done with malice. He's actually proud of what he did and said he'd do it again.

Jerry Colangelo has no right defending Raja Bell and pleading for him not to be suspended. Even though it hurts his team's chance to win, the integrity of the sport should be placed ahead of the Phoenix Suns.

If Nash was clotheslined by Smush Parker and I read Mitch Kupchak called in to defend Smush, I'd rip Mitch Kupchak and criticize him for condoning that type of foul.

Yup, Sasha Vujacic is playing great off the bench in the 6th man role.

So Kobe Bryant should have instead punched Raja Bell and been suspended for Game 6 as well? Plus I'm sure both benches would have cleared leading to more suspension. They aren't on the playground, there are serious repurcussions for fighting in the NBA, Kobe did the right thing.

I doubt either of them can fight, and I really could careless.

In my opınıon and what do I know Im an 30 american lady lıving ın Europe and I havent been watchıng much of the NBA ın the past 5 years and to be honest I lot of the players I had not knowledge of untıl thıs year when I started to watch the NBA back like a James, Nash and Parker, Marıon and etc.. but thıs serıes has been good ıt remınds me of the battles between the Bulls and Knıcks back ın the day.. I actually got up at 430 am to watch game 6 ın Phoenıx and have to say that the foul that Mr. Bell gave was uncalled for. He allowed Kobe to get ınto hıs head and he responded he should of been the better person and walked away.. but by no means am I a kobe or lakers fan never lıked them 6 years ago but ıf people contıune to play thıs way ıt will turn ınto an all rıght brawl. The game ıs supposed to be excıtıng and entertaınıng not a boxıng match...

Game 7 should be great and we defınıtely have got 2 new rıvals ın the west.. I cant waıt to see what will happen ın Game 7..

Game 6 was a great game and you have to tip your hat to Tim Thomas hitting those clutch 3's. The Suns stepped up with Raja Bell out, and Barbosa held his own out there.

Game 7 should be a classic.
