<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Although the early entry list of players for the 2006 NBA draft on June 28 won't be released until Wednesday, Nevada's Nick Fazekas has been working out to prepare for the process. His father, Joe Fazekas, said six teams have shown early interest in having the 6-foot-11 Wolf Pack star work out for them. "Sacramento wants him to come to them (for a workout)," said the elder Fazekas. "The Pacers are going to come to Reno. The Lakers, they want him to come to L.A. "Phoenix has shown some interest, and the Spurs, too, but they don't have a first-round pick. That's the problem. Cleveland has shown interest, too." Fazekas, the two-time Western Athletic Conference player of the year, is testing the NBA draft interest in him, but hasn't hired an agent and could return to Nevada for his senior season. Fazekas has said he would return to school if he's not convinced that he would be a first-round choice. Early list candidates can withdraw from the draft by June 18 and retain their eligibility. Nevada coach Mark Fox said Fazekas has gained weight since the end of the season in mid-March and is now up to 240 pounds. There has been speculation that Fazekas' weight and strength are a concern for some NBA teams. "Some teams have said he doesn't need to put on more weight, just get stronger," said the elder Fazekas.</div> Source
Wow...I juss saw this guys stats and read his bio. Fazekas seems to be great player. Averaging 10 RPG, 21 PPG, he led his team in blocking, second in steals for his team, his free throw shooting is great, he's athletic enough to play plenty of minutes...This list just keeps on going. Fazekas would be a great addition to the Lakers. What pick you guys think he'd go at if he entered the draft?
I don't know what they see in him, I see some potential but he should of been dominating that WAC competition. If you saw that game against Montana he got owned by an undersized PF, he was flat out owned. I think Fazekas should go late 1st round to early 2nd round, I just think he's too skinny. He needs to definetly bulk up, if he don't, BUST!
I've seen his statistics before and they are great. But, I can't really say anything about him, because I haven't seen him play before. But, I do know he needs to add weight to play PF in the NBA.

He can't stop anyone one in the post on defense. I remember Julian Sensley, another great talented prospect, took Fazekas to the house every time down. Fazekas did like wise on the other end but I believe they lost the game. Fazekas is playing weak competiton in the WAC, that's only reason his stats are good
Fazekas is a talented back to the basket scorer. He can score with either hand, get his shot off against two defenders, and has a soft touch around the rim. The problem Fazekas had last year was conditioning. He wears down very fast and isn't physical on defense. Teams who need low post scoring will take a look at him, because Fazekas can improve by bulking up and improving his stamina.

Thanks for filling me in though.
I have seen him. He's a better player than Josh Boone, but needs some more muscle, and is not speedy enough to bulk up too much. Will be a real nice part timer because he's smart and skilled, will have trouble with some matchups.
