TERRILBE! Iguodala is better than Davis and Mcants.
I think this is just a Minnesota newspaper trying to find some way in which Garnett and AI would team up, and considering it’s coming out of Minnesota obviously they would want them to team up in Minnesota. I wouldn't read much into it.

Also, if the trade indeed goes down, it won't only include Davis and Iverson. There would most certainly be other players involved, and/or draft picks. Good trade for Iverson and Garnett. Don't know for the Sixers until more is said of the rumor. But, it probably isn't true.

Together, they can be quite a force in the west. However, this team would be short lived because both Iverson and Garnett don't have many years left in them. Garnett is already on the fall and Iverson will have possibly 2 more prime seasons left in him. On the other hand, Philadelphia would be completely dismanteled. Not much would be expected out of this team for quite a few seasons. Iggy would develop nicely and if Phila gets Davis with this trade, the 76ers may become a very flashy team; but hardly a force to reckon with. If Phila wants to begin rebuilding, a trade involving Rashad McCants at PG and a draft pick it could actually work out very well in favor for the 76ers and their future. I hope this trade does follow through because Iverson isn't doing his job in Phila anymore and I want to see Garentt get a ring before he retires.

They probably are not even considering it. It is a manifestation on a Minnesota newspaper is what I?m saying. Mccants does not have the pass first mentality to play point guard for this team, and Davis would not be enough compensation for AI.

Minnesota offers what might be championship team with Garnett and Iverson. Which is why I said AI would be willing to play with KG. And of course the 76ers are considering this trade. AI isn't doing his job in Philadelphia. Also, given a few years McCants could develop into a great PG. Did you consider that he is only a rookie which is why he may have not developed Iverson like talents. McCant, Davis, and future 1st round pick is more than enought for AI.

He would just be another player who is a shoot first player playing out of position. Even though Garnett/AI offers AI a championship the organization is not looking to just get him a championship they are looking to improve, or at least build for the future. Mccants and Davis are not what this organization needs.

Man, Ive been hearing so much talk about iverson and garnett getting together, and the likelyhood of them gettting together.. high. Both players are probably the most frustated players in the NBA. Both don't sport rings. Iverson most likely will be traded this year. Ricky Davis isnt a bad trade for the Sixers. I see it going down...
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">AI isn't doing his job in Philadelphia. </div> I don't understand, how isn't he doing his job in Philadelphia? You're going to say he hasn't been doing his job when Iverson's been putting up a completely stellar statline? Its not his fault he's playing with a crippled Webber, that Billy King has done a horrific job of building around him when he took over, or that he doesn't have a good third option.
I could see this being an alright trade. How about something like this? <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Minnesota Trade Breakdown Outgoing Rashad McCants 6-4 SF from North Carolina 7.9 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 0.8 apg in 17.3 minutes Eddie Griffin 6-10 PF from Seton Hall 4.6 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 0.6 apg in 19.4 minutes Troy Hudson 6-1 PG from Southern Illinois 9.5 ppg, 1.2 rpg, 2.9 apg in 22.1 minutes Ricky Davis 6-7 SG from Iowa 19.4 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 5.0 apg in 41.2 minutes Incoming Willie Green 6-4 SG from Detroit 7.0 ppg, 1.5 rpg, 0.5 apg in 15.3 minutes Kevin Ollie 6-2 PG from Connecticut 2.7 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 1.4 apg in 15.3 minutes Allen Iverson 6-0 PG from Georgetown 33.0 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 7.4 apg in 43.0 minutes Change in team outlook: +1.3 ppg, <font color="#ff0000">-7.0</font> rpg, and <font color="#ff0000">0.0</font> apg. I think it is pretty even, but that is just me.
I would love this if we can potentially get my boy, Rashad McCants, in a deal for Iverson. I'm smelling a number one pick in this deal as well and I can see BK pulling the trigger. PG: Marcus Williams (via draft) SG: Andre Iguodala SF: Ricky Davis PF: Chris Webber C: Samuel Dalembert 6th: Rashad McCants
That'd be a terrible line up. Marcus Williams probably isn't even going to average 10 points and 4 assists in the league this year. Ricky Davis is not even comparable to AI. If last year's line up(almost like that) didn't make the playoffs, why would this one work. Also don't give me that "AI shoot too much" garbage. Ricky Davis is just as much a ball hog as AI is, and AI at least averages 7.5 assists.
