<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Laker_fan:</div><div class="quote_post">LOL. Your pretty stupid for admitting that. Anything you say about Kobe or The Lakers has no credibility because its coming from hate. Raja Bell is a poose. He says he has no respect for Kobe when Kobe said he enjoys playing a rough game. Bell falls over at the first chance he gets to play "rough" as he's been intending to all series and he says he has no respect for Kobe. What a faker. Leave the real battling for players like Artest and Kobe.</div> You should be the last one to call anyone stupid on this site, that is unnecessary. No one on this site knows what a poose is. Raja Bell doesn't need to respect Kobe, he keeps it real, whether you like it or not. Raja Bell took advantage of Kobe swining his elbow to create shot. Its all part of annoying an elite-god-like Scorer like Kobe. Taking away one of his moves to score. When you play organized basketball, you want the refs on your side, and thats what Raja Bell did on that play, stop complaining. I've watched Raja Bell all my life, and thats one of the few times I've seen him flop. He loves physical contact, he has that South Beach Miami rugged football intensity on the court. This is probably the first time you layed on eyes on Raja Bell too. I don't see why you continue to bad mouth him. What Raja Bell did to Kobe in the end that got him suspended was uncalled for, but whatever I enjoyed it. Raja Bell won the battle, lets see who will win the war.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Brian:</div><div class="quote_post">raja bell pisses the hell out of me. im not even going to watch that vid in order to save me from breaking something. that stupid mo fo! i cant tell you how much i hate him</div> That makes two of us, he gets away with so many flops.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Chutney:</div><div class="quote_post">I saw the elbow. If you pause it in between 0:04 and 0:05 (I had to repeatedly press the pause button), there's a pretty clear view of Kobe's elbow in contact with Raja's jaw. There's one particular frame, where the screen goes a little brighter. Kinda hard to describe. At 0:22, you see Kobe's elbow go behind Raja's head. Part of it is obscured, but Bell's head moves to the other side. It looks like a more genuine reaction as well, as its like a second before he falls down and starts clutching his jaw. That shot at 0:27 is a little misleading, IMO. You only see the elbow after its swung through and Kobe's left shoulder blocks the contact. I still think it was a definite elbow, but you are right that Bell embellished it. Just watch his reaction in the 3rd replay. You see the initial reaction, where his head swings back and he's slightly dazed around 0:27 or 0:28. Then when he regains his senses around 0:29, he grabs his jaw and falls down purposely, IMO, before the NBA logo flashes on.</div> great observation and write up...these laker fans can't face the fact that kobe did hit raja and they just keep on commenting the positives of the lal...look how they ignore ur writeup and just conclude that 1 of the multiple angles made it look like raja flopped - an angle that is blocked by kobe's shoulder...and i don't think raja shed a tear, he's actually confident of what he has done and he would do it again if he has a 2nd chance.. tho he know it was stupid..
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheHitman:</div><div class="quote_post">i know raja flopped.. look at Kobe's immediate reaction when Kobe was called for the foul, he was pretty surpised so im pretty sure no contact was made. Sure an elbow went up but i doubt it ever hit Raja's face, it came close though</div> kobe's immediate reaction....called for foul....surprised.... he was never called for the foul and his immediate reaction was not a surprised one...because he wasn't called for the foul, bell was pissed and took kobe down...you prolly got sth mixed up
clearly, comments from other places/fans from other teams have clearer minds and are more balanced emotionally.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting illmatic:</div><div class="quote_post">wow, that's hilarious. what a fake. thanks a lot for the video Shape. It's so funny how you Kobe haters TRY YOUR HARDEST to try and make it seem like that elbow connected. I haven't seen one non-laker fan just say "Yeah, I guess Raja faked it, guess Kobe was right after all." Grow up. Stop trying so hard to hate someone.</div> I think that says more about you Laker fans than non-Laker fans. And by the way shouldnt you be on self bannishment about now? <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Maybe the elbow did contact but at least it wasn't intentional. Kobe got this foul. Raja Bell should let it go. What he did was just stupid and unprofessional. I play bball alot. I should have thrown down my frds alot if I am Bell, since i got elbow alot too. Basketball game is physical. If you don't want that, go play golf then.</div> It doesnt matter if his elbows are unintentional if you get elbowed in the face multiple times by the same guy no matter what the intention it would piss you off. Note how Kobe also unintentionally elbowed Barbosa today? I understand hes not doing it purposely but I'd clothesline Kobe too if I kept getting his elbows in my face and the refs let it go.
Run BJM, yeah i'm out, gonna stick to my word. happy? Gator, he's all up in his grill, Kobe doesn't have any room to manuver, what do you expect to happen? with that said, GL lakers, lost a lot of my money I earned in Game 2 tonight. Think Lakers will prevail in Game 7, i have faith in Kobe and PJax. Later
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting illmatic:</div><div class="quote_post"> Gator, he's all up in his grill, Kobe doesn't have any room to manuver, what do you expect to happen? r</div> I expect there to be elbows, which has happened throughout the series, don't deny that he doesn't throw any elbows.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Franchise4Ever:</div><div class="quote_post">Bad Angle Durvasa.</div> You're joking, right?
Both sides are right. There was contact. Definitely. But Raja did act it out a little. Just watch his reactions. His initial one is natural. Something hits him, his eyes close, and his head falls back. But about when his head goes all the way back he seems to regain his senses and then his whole body falls down. The whole incident seems to be a lot more calculated than you'd first believe. I honestly believe Phil and Kobe were trying to get Raja to bite. They knew that he was the Suns' only legitimate defender and I think they came into the series feeling that they could use his temper against him. Raja, on the other hand, seemed to have some sort of vendetta against Kobe even before the games started. I wouldn't be surprised if he embellished the elbow a little to try and justify taking him out later on.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting durvasa:</div><div class="quote_post">You're joking, right?</div> I think it is, the back can look like there was contact. I would prefer a side angle to see the contact. Atleast that way you can tell if the elbow was close at the least. Come FA time for Raja I think he should go into Hollywood acting.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting durvasa:</div><div class="quote_post"> I think this pretty much settles it. There was contact.</div> Oh man, that is a good angle, I guess there was contact. Interesting, now that I think of it, I'm not so sure if Bell flopped it, in slow motion you can't tell at all how bad or hard he hit him.
That vid defiently proves he hit him, but Raja over exaggerated alot....and it looks like it was a accident anyway
Well, that proves he didn't flop. However, we can't sit here and say he wasn't hit hard, only Raja Bell knows.
I think the video shows it wasn't intentional at all on Kobe's part. Bell is reaching in as Kobe raises his arm up, he isn't even looking in Bell's direction.
Players don't need to be looking at their defender to know where they are. They can tell where they are from contact. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">http://rapidshare.de/files/19564858/Phanto...Game_5.wmv.html Please watch this video, he was not elbowed in the face. If you watch the last angle, which is the most direct it shows clearly he flopped. Go to 27 secs to 30 secs of the clip. This is the footage from TNT. Raja Bell my jaw hurts? What a damn liar.</div> No offense shape, but it sounds like you're just making excuses for Kobe after you were proven wrong. If you're going to call Raja a liar, then at least admit it when you're wrong.
