The only reason that there are so much haters is because you guys are so biased and arrogant.(not all of you, just some of you-most of you are quality posters). Before you blow up on me, please read the rest.....

    1) Every single person that says 1 little negative thing about Kobe and Lakers are automatically haters. Some of us are not hating on Kobe or the Lakers, we just wanted to point something out. We say that, then you call us a Kobe/Laker hater and then throw out personal attacks on us. Not everyone is against you guys, believe it or not.

    2) NO ONE IS DEFENDING RAJA BELL'S ACTIONS. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE. The complaints that we have is that there were a bunch of other tough plays in this series that should have been looked at, but weren't. Kwame Brown elbowing Raja Bell and then standing over him should have at least been looked at as a suspension. No it shouldn't have been worse than Raja Bell, but standing over him taunting him Boris Diaw should be a suspension. Luke Walton's flagrant foul, IMO doesn't deserve a suspension, but they need to look at Kobe(not saying a suspension, but definetely a fine) for pushing them down. Don't act like Kobe is a perfect angel, like he does nothing wrong. If I was the commish, I would give Raja Bell 2 games, Kwame Brown 1 game, and Kobe a fine.

    3) STOP BEING SO CONTRADICTORY. Yes Raja Bell did a cheap shot on Kobe, but you guys are acting like Kobe Bryant is an angel. Don't forget that he did a cheap shot on Mike Miller. Kobe Bryant is definetely not an angel. Kobe complained to the refs about getting hit in the head in Game 1, but when Raja Bell complains about getting elbows, he's a baby and he can't take the physical play? Kobe complains a lot to officials about calls.

Also you guys are saying that Suns fans are crying about the refs blowing the games and possibly the series and calling them sore losers. Please tell me that you didn't complain about the refs after Game 1, because the majority of you guys did. So don't call Suns fans/"Laker Haters" sore losers and cry babies when you guys also complained about the refs in this series.

Raja Bell makes comments ripping Kobe and everyone is in an uproar, but Kobe makes comments ripping Raja Bell and it's one of the funniest things ever. Sure Raja Bell's comments are worse, but you are bashing him for ripping Kobe, when your angel Kobe was bashing him to.

    4) Let Kobe down on his pedestal. He's a damn good player, the best in the NBA right now, but he's not god. He gets so much hype it's not even funny. I can't believe all of you guys say that the media hates Kobe. Yes some do, but the majority of analysts don't stop talking about Kobe, it's Kobe this, Kobe that and a small thing about other people/teams.

    5) NO ONE IS SAYING RAJA BELL IS BETTER THAN KOBE. I hate seeing these posts that are like "Kobe>Raja Bell and he's just jealous" Thanks Captain Obvious. I don't think 1 single person in the world thinks that Raja Bell is a better player than Kobe. Who in the world isn't jealous that Kobe has so much talent and they don't have that kind of talent. I'm jealous of his talent, I'm sure other NBA superstars are too. Just because you aren't as good as someone doesn't mean that you have to respect them. Maybe Kobe isn't as clean and as perfect of a guy as everyone thinks. No one knows for sure unless you play him and I'm sure others think he's a dirty player. I don't think he's dirty, but don't bash Raja Bell for not respecting Kobe, because I'm sure Kobe doesn't respect others.

    6) Are you sure Kobe has never flopped? I'm sure he has flopped sometime. Some of the good defensive players flop from time to time. Drawing a charge is a smart play in some instances, not a cheap play because they can't play defense. Flops happen, every team has players that do it and not all charges are flops. I'd like you to have Kobe elbow you and not fall. Even if Kobe didn't hit Bell in the face, he certainly hit Bell in the shoulder.

Raja Bell flopped on a couple of plays, but he doesn't flop on every play like all of you guys have been saying. He's a very good physical defender, regardless of what you say. He's done a great job on Kobe this series only allowing 22 ppg to Kobe. Yes Kobe isn't shooting as much, but that has something to do with Raja Bell's D. Even when Kobe wasn't shooting much in the past, he still avg over 22 ppg.

    7) Nash is the MVP, regardless of what you all say, he will still be the MVP. Nothing you can say will change that. He had an amazing season, give him props. Kobe is the best player in the NBA right now, but best player and MVP don't go hand and hand. It's not like it's a new thing, the scoring leader hasn't won an MVP for awhile and when MJ was pouring in 37 ppg on a worse team, he won the MVP. Tmac was the best player in the NBA in his last 2 years in Orlando and he didn't win any MVP's, because the team wasn't good enough. I'm sure Kobe will win MVP's in the future, his time will come. Just because he didn't win the MVP doesn't mean that it's the end of the world.

That's my 2 cents. I'm not a fan of either team, so I see both sides of the story. I'm not trying to hate, I'm just hoping that you all can see both sides and stop bashing everyone that disagrees with you. Your side isn't always the best side. Good luck in your game tonight and the rest of the series.

Cosign. I've spent a lot of time in the Lakers forum during the series, because its really been the only interesting basketball so far. I don't mind disagreeing with posters. In fact, I've enjoyed some of the exchanges I've had with the posters here. But it seems like every other post is either ranting, baiting or insulting. It overshadows the quality posters on this board. And I hate the term Kobe-hater. It's been said so much, that its lost all meaning.

    1. Kobe has taken enough heat from every one else, someone's gotta defend him.

    2. Why in the hell should we defend Raja Bell, all those flagrant fouls you speak of are different. Raja Bell looked as if he was on a mission to take Kobe out.

    3. I don't consider Kobe an angel at all, matter of fact no one in the NBA is.

    4. Over hyped? You should be in the Cleveland thread ifyou want to hear "over-hype"

    5. I would never compare Bell to Kobe

    6. Kobe has flopped, but c'mon Bell is acting like a weightless feather out there.

    7. We all know Nash is MVP

I'm not saying anyone is to fault with it, but some of your fans make the hating even worse, because they are so obnoxious. Everyone is going to have haters, it's just a matter of going crazy every time someone says something negative about Kobe. I'm mainly talking about the MVP threads where people were saying that Nash deserved it and people were bashing the people favoring Nash, even though they didn't really diss Kobe.

You misunderstood. I'm saying your laker fans act like we think Raja Bell is better than Kobe and that we are backing his fouls. NO ONE has backed his foul up at all, which should happen. I'm not saying that you should defend Raja Bell.

    powerful 2 cents you posted

    Fully agree
The Laker fans are too sensitive with negative comments going against this LA club. Some act like the public has no freedom of speech and must obey whatever they think. Even a tiny negative term against the angel or the heavenly lakers would fire them up and start deep personal attacks on non laker fans...we might as well agree with them and start praising the lakers else they would talk about our ancestors.........it's ridiculous

I totally agree with most the things that are said in this topic. There are many intelligent, thoughtful Laker fans here but there are also many posters that won't take any reasoning into consideration.

    - They readily condemn Raja for taking Kobe down but yet they forget that Kobe just as viciously elbowed Mike Miller in the head, not to mention the fights that he's gotten into the past with Reggie Miller, Chris Childs.

    - They seem to think that Raja was just acting and pretending that Kobe's elbows ever made contact with him. Was Barbosa getting elbowed in the mouth and requiring stitches just his imagination too?

    - They bash Nash for crying and whining about the officiating when all Kobe does is complain to the refs the entire game 6 (even not getting back on defense in one play because he is too busy complaining).

    - They keep saying Kobe is the real MVP and that Nash doesn't deserve it, even when they see with their own eyes what Nash has done in this series.

All I'm asking for is for them to look at both sides. I wouldn't bash Kobe for something if I knew fully well that a player I praised did the exact same thing. That's just being hypocritical.

Again, I'm not talking about everyone here, just some.

And finally, DO NOT say you're not biased or against the Lakers, because you are, admit it, you pray for the downfall of the Lakers and Kobe.

You guys keep saying "I'm not a fan of either team" or "I have nothing against the Lakers"

But in reality, you really do, tonight before you go to sleep, look deep down in your hearts, and tell me you have nothing against the Lakers and Kobe.

Hey, if I was you guys I'd say the same thing, that way, no one can use my hate for Lakers/Kobe against me, and I'd just be "putting in my $0.02" with my un-biased opinion."

Despite the rough night,, I have so much faith in the Lakers for Game 7.

Sometimes the Lakers are at their best when they're complete underdogs and in a situation where all the signs are pointing to a loss and no possible way for a win. It's those situations in my opinion, where Lakers PREVAIL.

    Finally......

Hate it or love it, but the Underdog is STILL on top.

okay, this is really my last post on here, I have to stick my god damn word thanks to my big mouth.

Thank you illmatic for proving my point. I'm not really bashing anyone(other than in my first paragraph) or crying. Trust me, I went straight to shapecity and asked him if this was alright and he said it was fine, because unlike what you think, I don't just want to start something and it really isn't like that. I want to give the Laker forum more crediblility because honestly this forum is the most active, but it's the funniest forum because of all the homers. The rest of my rant is just stating the facts on both sides of the issues, not just the Laker side. I have a membership on this site and I can go where the hell I want, even if it is the Laker forum. It's nto closed only to Laker fans or people who see the Laker side of the story. This is a debate forum, people will have different opinions. I'ts just a matter of respecting everyone's opinions rather than just the ones you agree with. If everyone agreed on every issue, this forum would suck(as would any other). All we are asking is open your eyes to everything around you and if someone disagrees with you it doesn't mean that they are a hater and they don't deserve to get personal attacked.

I don't like Kobe Bryant, I will admit it and I have in the past. I don't like the Lakers that much because of what Shaq did to the Magic. I'm sure that's understandable to you guys, but when I post, I try to throw my biasness out the window(sometimes it works/sometimes it doesn't) but in this post it did work. You guys don't understand how hard it is not to hate Kobe with how you put him up on a pedestal and how great he is and he doesn't do anything wrong, when in fact that is false(as shown in this post). I'm not telling you guys to change your views or anything, because you definetely shouldn't. I'm just hoping that you will take more consideration for the other side of the argument, rather than the, "I'm a Laker and a Kobe fan, so I have to be right" mentality that so many of you possess. I don't like Kobe and the Lakers, but I praise them when they do good and I DON'T HATE THEM. Just because the Lakers aren't my favorite team doesn't mean that I hate them. Hate is such a strong word. If anything if I start "hating" it's because of the 1 sided fans. If something goes wrong to Kobe it's the end of the world, that person that did it is a punk or a crybaby, etc, even though Kobe did the same thing earlier this season and sometimes this series. All I'm asking is at least think to the other side before you make a post bashing someone else.

    Ill, you proved his point.

I agree with the man, I have the same feelings about some Laker fans.

Good post man, I actually like it.

i admit at times i have been arrogant. i admit that i have mocked and criticized raja bell without much thought. but its important to remember that we are in the middle of a tight playoff series, and after a loss, what do you expect us to do? we will be pissed, angry, mad, ready to tear peoples throats out. so, what do we do? do you expect us to be all nice and say, oh well, thats a loss. lets go win another one. no! we will be angry and talk lots of crap about the suns and raja bell, mainly because bell is guarding kobe and the guy has made arrogant quotes about him. anyways, im sure you felt the same way with a lot of piston players when your magic team lost to them after taking a 3-1 lead. that is exactly what were feeling now, but most of us arent afraid to show our emotions on this message board.

anyways, you have to take into consideration that not all laker fans are really "arrogant". there are only a few, and im pretty sure every team has a couple of very "arrogant" fans.

Cavs fans are going to continue to talk about LeBron, so you might want to get over that one.

And Gators is completely right, I've never been so sick of the word haters since I looked at that board.

Yeah I definetely understand what you are going through. I understand you guys are pissed, but if you are pissed, why do you have to talk crap about the suns and raja bell? It's your own teams fault that you lost the last 2 games. Back then I was probably doing the same thing that you guys are doing, so I forgive you for it, but I don't understand the point of talking crap about other players on other teams that won. (I think I probably did it some too in the Pistons series, I'm sure AllNet will say that I was pretty bad, since I was immature and just getting used to message boards, which I'm sure fits in for some of you guys as well) I'm just trying to make you aware on why there are so many haters and to not personal attack people when they share a different opinion than yours. The boards are much more fun when there is a lot of debating without personal attacks.

That's all non-Laker fans hear from the biased and ignorant Laker/Kobe fans.

That's great, I'm glad the feeling is mutual then.

The only person's opinion I really respect on here is Shapecity, that guy is amazing and knows his sh!t, not to mention a great guy.

SO hate me all you want, I won't cry myself to sleep, I promise.
