    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting virve119:</div><div class="quote_post">His cast isn't as great as the Pistons, but look at it rationally.

    Compare the Cavs rotation (without Lebron)
    Z,Gooden,Marshall,Varejao,Newble,Snow,Hughes,Murray and Jones

    to the Heat's rotation (without Wade)
    Shaq,Posey,Williams,Walker,Payton,Mourning,Anderson,Haslem and Doleac
    </div>

    Heat's rotation is better for no other reason than Shaq.

    Ilgauskus has been a non-factor in the playoffs, and Larry Hughes is shooting around 30% from the field. Newble barely deserves to be in the league. Snow plays defense, and that's about it.

    The Cavs lineup has depth and talent at every position. You say Ilgauskas has dissapeared all season, but when he gets touches he has flourished, and is basically unstoppable in the post. The problem is he goes through stretches where he doesn't get touches. Gooden has been equally impressive through stretches this year, but he too goes through long stretches without getting touches. Snow doesn't get many touches, but he adds leadership, toughness and defense. Murray has been great for the Cavs, and is probably the best sixth man this playoffs. Varejao was a steal for them and has been playing phenomenal, bringing rebounding, toughness and hustle. Newble brings defense, but he hardly even plays, the dude would be a sixth or seventh man on most teams. That leaves us with Marshall, Hughes and Jones, who as you guys have said have all struggled this year. But wait, didn't all three of them have career years last year? Is it a coincidence that they're all struggling in their new home? Maybe not.

    Don't be so blinded by your love for Lebron to not realize that he does have the tools, but he just doesn't know how to use them.</div>

    [IMG] Wow, you look for any reason to hate on him. Could you honestly say you'd rather have Eric Snow, Larry Hughes, Drew Gooden, and Big Z over Gary Payton, Antoine Walker, Udonis Haslem, and Shaq?

    C'mon Shaq has lost a lot. He's not as dominant as you guys make him out to be. Clebeland has great guys surrounding Lebron, but they're not as playing as well as they can. Hughes was an allstar (or would have been despite injury) last year with the Wiz, Jones started on the Heat last year and was lights-out and played brilliantly (and now one year later, he hardly plays for the Cavs), and Marshall played amazing for Toronto last year. We've all seen the scoring potential that both Z and Gooden have when given the opportunity. I think it's safe to say that the Lebron and the Cavs have a top 5 supporting cast and bench in this league.

    I would pass on Payton and Walker. Haslem and Shaq are the only players I would swap for. Even with Haslem, I would prefer to have Gooden. Your also missing out Donyell Marshall and Flip Murray who is a great clutch performer. I seriously believe The Cavs lineup is underrated, although I would put them below The Heat due to the Shaq factor.

    If that's the case, then wouldn't that imply the Cavs should be at least a top five team in the league? Or is LeBron somehow dragging them down? [IMG]

    This is by far one of the more ridiculous statements I've seen on this site, so I had to reply. The Cavs without Lebron barely resemble an NBA team. They can't score, the ball stops...They basicly have to resort to throwing it in the post to Z but lately even he's been missing some easy ones. I don't see the Cavs making it through the 1st round until they get some players alongside Lebron.

    I agree. We basically need a Scottie Pippen!
