This will be one of the first of the 2 MNF's that the Ravens will be playing and this won't be a very fun one. The Raven's aren't going to have 2 of their key players: Safety Ed Reed and Lineback Ray Lewis. So this game seems one-sided and not in the Ravens favor. It's just a matter of how many points the Steelers score against the Ravens. Defense We haven't done much of this lately but PRESSURE THE QUARTERBACK!!! Stay close to the Steelers WR's, especially someone who plays physical like Hines Ward. Try not to have a huge offensive play like a pass to Antwaan Randle El that goes for like 70-yards, Willie Parker breaks off a 40-yard run, etc. Stop them on first down. Try to make them go to third and long. Be unpredictable with the formations and confuse Big Ben. The Steelers are known to score in the endzone so try to force them to at least kick a FG. Since Ray Lewis is gone, we may have to gamble by bringing Will Demps to act like a linebacker. This may hurt us in the passing game because Chad Williams will be alone in the downfield but may help us in the running defense. Offense The Ravens are one of the lowest scoring teams this year. We aren't good with the running and passing game. We aren't getting passing yards because we are too predictable and in the running game, we keep getting stuffed. Going long once in a while won't hurt because if it is completed, it may soften the running game. The Ravens have mainly relying on Todd Heap. He will go against Troy Palomalu and he is known to be good at coverage and lays hard hits. So we should fake him out by letting do some blocking and recieving once in a while. We need to get some screen plays as well. Just a little toss a second after the snap to Derrick Mason to relieve the rush and put more of Chester Taylor in the game. AND MAINTAIN THE BALL, that means try not to fumble. Jamal Lewis has never had a 100-yard game against the Steelers since the 2003 season. Brian Billick should dress up like Edgar Allen Poe because this game may already result as a lost before the first half and Ravens will fly over his head as he reads the newspaper the next day of how much they have lost.
having two defensive mvps out really hurts them, i say the steelers win. I think after this year Billick will be out of coaching
