This game should not even have went too OT!!!! Another loss for the Lions on the backs of poor officiating. The Bears fumbled and Detroit recoverd for what would have been the winning TD or at the very least a FG in regulation. A quick whistle (Not reviewable) cost the Lions this game.

Now I'll here all the Woulda, Shoulda, Couda stuff. But NO OTHER NFL team has had the officials cost them TWO games and Chris "F'in" Weinke come off the bench with under a minute to go and throw like Joe Montana!

The Best Team didn't win this game.

I wouldn't put the INT all on Garcia either. Mike "Rookie" Williams didn't come back to the ball at all. Watch the replay ... he looks like a fat lazy fuck on the play.

Grapes, Sour grapes . . . get your sour grapes here. I did see a fumble return for TD get taken away, from both teams, by refs. So really cant say that was difference

Now you can say it. [IMG]

Come on first they spank the Lions and now they win in your home turf. I'd say the better team won.

Yes plus the Lions have a much tougher schedule so even if the Lions won they would still not be the favorate in the division IMO.

BTW porky, you made your post at exactly 10 AM PST

What about the 'lateral'/fumble/pass by Garcia? That was obviously a bad call by the officials.

Yeah I think they were all saying it was a bad call. Urlacher almost had 7 sacks for the season. What a machine.... defensive MVP I say!

No No No ... On the Garcia throw the officials handled it correctly and DID NOT blow the whistle. That was key because the play was eventually called correctly. Grounding, -5 yards and a loss of down. On the Bears fumble the IDIOTS blew the Frickin whistle! That play cost the Lions the game in regulation. There's a very fine line between being 6-1 and 3-4 in the Lions case. :x

No they still got it wrong, even with review. Bears are better team. Its not that thin. Not one play difference. A good team can overcome that. A bad team whines over a bad call and blame losses on them. I am sure there were other calls taht were missed during game. Sum of bad calls between two teams even out during a game or season. You played us equal with home field, and lost badly on road. Bears are clearly better.

Well if theres a fine line between 3-4 to 6-1 with the Lions then theres a fine between 1-6 and 6-1 for the Packers. [IMG] [IMG]

A catch by Marcus Pollard in the end zone with 13 seconds left was wiped out on a wrongly reversed instant replay review, leaving the Lions with a 17-13 loss to Tampa Bay.

Carolina scored the winning touchdown with 32 seconds left in a 21-20 victory.

And last week, an interception return in overtime gave Chicago a 19-13 victory.

Add it up: a little more than six minutes of overtime, and 45 seconds of regulation time left the Lions with three losses.

I'm not saying close counts or that the Lions could win a first round playoff game, only that they are very, very close to having the best record in the NFL.

No, games werent one score games. They werent decided in 6 minutes of play. They were decided in 180+ minutes of play. If 6 minutes is enough to change the game on bad calls they had 54 minutes to play as a more dominant team and win the game by 9 times what the bad calls that ruined the game. The truth is they are a .500 caliber team so they played .500 caliber ball and win about half there games.
