I know you are very mad at the way the season turned out, but you guys had a great season. They weren't supposed to make the playoffs and they did, they weren't supposed to win more than 1 or 2 games against the Suns and you took them to 7 games. You guys have a young team and a very bright future. Just remember there are 21 teams that wish that they were in your spot right now. (14 that didn't make playoffs and 7 that got knocked out and didn't make a Game 7). How many teams can say that they have the talented youth that the Lakers have and the leadership of Kobe and Phil Jackson. Good luck next year, your future is extremely bright.
^^Your not making the situation any better...J/K. We messed up and next season its gonna be even tougher to make the playoffs with the Kings and their lineup and the Suns having Amare back. I'm sure the Hornets will have improved to a playoff position team. Clippers should do well next season. If Minnesota gets away with AI that would be horrible news for the Lakers. And dont forget about Denver, Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston who might have T-mac and Yao healthy enough for championship contention. The Lakers have to make some major roster adjustments next season. I have high hopes.
The Lakers in foresight should be very proud. Halfway through the season, if they could see themselves now, they'd be proud. But being up in a series 3-1, with Phil Jackson as a coach, NO ONE should be proud of this collapse. I don't think Laker fans will look back at this season as a success. It reminds me of when my Pistons beat down the "HoF" Laker line-up in 2004. Heh heh heh, I looooove the Lakers. </div> Bad time to post this. If the others open this thread, expect war, especially at a time like this.

Gatorsown... thanks for you're thread and yeah ur right the lakers over achieved... as for jaraha... the pistons won't win it this year sorry...
Yeah, I've been through the same thing with Tmac and the Magic and it was so hard to get over going up 3-1, so I thought I would at least share some good light on it and hopefully not get you guys as down on your season. Hopefully next year won't be like the following year after the Magic did that(21-61 and got Dwight Howard), although it could be similar and if that's the case you would have Kobe and Greg Oden.

Gator, you're such a nice guy! I think every Lakers fan are disappointed with the way we played in Game 7, but it's nothing to hang our head down, we're up 3-1, we scared the Suns alot; we just fell short this serie, tough luck. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">^^Your not making the situation any better...J/K. With this lineup next season, I don't think we have a chance of advancing to the next round. Every teams will get better next year, and I"m sure the Warriors and the Jazz are going to fire up because they didn't make the playoff this year. We need to make some big change this offseason and I hope Mitch can do it, otherwise I vote for him to be gone
All you Lakers fans talking all that **** in the Suns forums; what do you have to say now? Nothing. The better team won, so shut your traps. Go cry yourselves to sleep tonight, and have fun fishing this summer.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting PauL WaLL:</div><div class="quote_post">^^ Suck My Dick!! U ******</div> Don't let this guy get into your head. He is playing a mind game and pretend to be like Phil Jackson . Keep your cool Paul, they know they got lucky.
thanks a lot gators. i bet you knew how i felt yesterday, lol. i was pretty depressed after the loss and didnt feel like talking to anyone, but now im over it. look at it this way. i think the main problem as to why we lost the game is because we have such a young team. besides kobe and lamar, nobody else has much playoff experience. i dont think you can really blame the players for much. they gave it their all last game, and this game they were emotionally drained, and just couldnt handle the pressure. anyways, this was a really exciting season, and im excited to see us build on with this young core
I agree the Lakers turned this into a great and memorable series. Remember guys we were suppossed to lose and while we still did we did not ride quietly into night. We took the series to 7 games. We exposed the weakness of the Suns. We exposed our weaknesses. It is a learning process now we know what we need to work on and fix. Also while I have always have been a Laker fan there was little hope of beating the Clippers if we did beat the Suns. The Clippers unfortunately are the best team in LA right now. On the other hand we also have showed the Clippers exactly how to beat the Suns. If you think that the monster in the paint that is Elton Brand and his up and coming tag teammate Chris Kaman aren't going to destroy the Clippers you are sorely mistaken. Couple that with the veteran guard play and nerves of Cassel and Mobely with the aggresive youthfulness of Maggete and Livingston its practically gauranteed that the Suns won't be beating the Clippers.
