I really didn't think Dwight Howard dunked as much as he should have this year..

Didn't you guys feel Dwight should had lots of missed opportunities to throw it down this season? [IMG] Not that he didn't get a lot, but I thought he should have gotten a lot more.

    Anyway, from this article: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/bask...?coll=orl-magic

"According to statistical guru Harvey Pollack in Philadelphia, Howard had a league-high 214 dunks this season, snapping O'Neal's eight-year reign as the dunk champion. O'Neal was second with 208."

That's 2.6 dunks per game. Dwight surely can break that next year!

nah d12 def dunked enough last year...if anything it was too much.. he needs to work on his shot and post up more than dunk for next year so he becomes more versatile

we should never complain about a guy dunkin, it means he is gettin at the basket at ease. I would rather him dunk everything, he needs to learn more moves, but he should always be goin toward the rim.

Yeah, definitely. When I said "He didn't dunk enough", I meant, there seemed to be opportunities he could have gone stronger to the hole, where he didn't.

i agree with you chuck, I think he got into the mindset that he is getting fouled everytime he touches the ball down there. So at times he took bad shots and didnt capitalize on his strength. With time that should all change, now he should be able to draw the contact and still finish strong.

Dunks are high percentage but a player like that if he can get those shots needs to expand his range. Shaqs used the dunk as a high percentage shot for ages, but his free throws are shockin. If Dwight can add the dunks plus a jump shot like Elton Brands and a good foul shot, look out!
Offtopic but Smokrockz LOVE DA AVATOR!

Dwight did miss alot of dunks mostly because he tries too many 1 handed dunks when he could have easily threw it down with 2. But he is young and hopefully he will learn with more experience. This is one of the reasons I wish Orlando would have kept Clifford Ray, I don't think he would have put up with that as much as the current coaches seem to.
