At halftime dallas lead the spurs 52-46. But TIm Duncan has 20 frickin points!! Our Big men Diop and Dampier have 2 fouls each. Jerry Stackhouse has been having a grat half scoring 13 points, while Dirk has 13 as well. So far te gameplan i posted about a week ago is coming true.lol No one can really guard Dirk, they've gone From bruce bowen to michael finley and even to Nick vanExel. I think we need to somehow stop Tim from scoring those points in the paint, and simply stop fouling him!Devin harris has only scored 1 point, but has been maintaing very good defense on Tony Parker limiting him to 8 points. Avery needs to let Dirk attack more, but overall I'd say Dallas is playing some pretty good ball today.
Stackhouse is doing too much......Dallas needs more production out of Dirk. EDIT <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">No one can really guard Dirk</div> actually Bruce Bowen is doin a hell of a job on Dirk today. EDIT What was Stackhouse thinking????
OMG!!! HE shouldve went for 2 to tie! And did dallas not have anymore timeouts? Oh well... At least we know we CAN beat them
I'm not trying to play Mavs hater here, but Dirk needs to develop some sort of post up game.....he doesn't have the speed to blow by his defender, so most of the time he's taking fall away off balanced jump shots (like today).
Stackhouse got greedy, but that whole messup happened when SA doubled up on Dirk and forced him into a bad pass. Great game though. This could be the best series of the playoffs.
i think if we get 'im in game 2...we shud still stay in this series. if we lose game2, idk if we can really make a comeback cuz i doubt the spurs would let us do that
To be honest, I wouldn't be that surprised if San Antonio wins the series 4-0. I wouldn't be that surprised if Dallas wins the series 4-1, either. I think that's the kind of series this is gonna be, every game could go either way, which could make it a seven-game series, or could make it a 4 or 5.

Every game is going to be a toss-up IMO. I believe we had one more timeout, which angers me greatly. stack got the ball with a good 3-4 seconds left, plenty of time to call a timeout and at least get a decent look at the basket
The rest of the Mavs have got to understand Dirk's gonna struggle and step up if they need to win the series. Josh Howard, Terry and Stackhouse need to pick up the slack for the Mavs. Harris playing point is a good decision by Avery. Though Parker has his thigh banged up, he's doing a good job slowing Parker.

Duncan is the best in my opinion, and proved he can win a game when the Mavs are tentative. The Mavs are deeper and have an array of weapons. Just think if Daniels was playing the way he played in the 2004 playoffs. The question is whether or not we'll see a new chapter in the next game such as a resurgance of Ginobli and Parker. If so, the series will be much better basketball if Dallas continues to attack from 4 or 5 positions and SAS can attack with at least 4. No matter how good the defense, at least 4 starters and one bench player for each team can get open and score.

This is the type of series we watch the game for it has great coach's making the decisons. The players can not control the game by them selves when the teams are as evenly matched as they are here.
