<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Tim Thomas was frustrated with how his situation in Chicago was perceived, but he is now happy he found a home in Phoenix.

"To end up in this situation is just a blessing," he said. "I'm not going nowhere."

Thomas has said that he hopes to re-sign with Phoenix during the summer, as it is the most fun he has had playing basketball in many years.

"With a guy like Steph, you can't really get involved unless he lets you get involved," Thomas said. "He's a scoring point guard. And scoring point guards don't really look to give the ball up as much."

Thomas gets to play with Steve Nash now instead.

"He's always looking to give the ball up," Thomas said. "And it makes your job a whole lot easier, because if you run the floor, you definitely know you're going to get it, rather than running the floor knowing that you're not going to get it. And then the next time you don't run the floor and everybody looks at you like you're.</div>

I guess he changed his mind about, wanting to go to New Jersey.

For the right money, he wouldn't be that bad an addition. I'm just trying to think of how much he would deserve.

Right now he's getting a lot of minutes because Amare and Kurt Thomas are injured. He's a great fit in Phoenix, but they don't have any cap space to give him a long term deal. The Suns need to extend Diaw and Barbosa in the near future, so unless TT wants to play for the veteran minimum or the $1.75M exception I don't see how the Suns can afford to bring him back and still extend Diaw and Barbosa.

Another scenario could involve trading Kurt Thomas. However, he played great in the pick and roll, plus he's a better defender.

Tim Thomas has probably played well enough to land an MLE contract from a team. I think New Jersey and San Antonio will pursue him in the off season.

It is possible that D'Antoni will decide to let James Jones go to create a spot for him. I'm not a good enough judge of talent and heart to have a real opinion about that, but D'Atonti and crew will know. If they sense a title is within their grasp, they'll probably step up and keep both. Sarver has "title fever" and Stevie is aging.

Well first off we wouldn't even be in this situation that we are in if it wasn't for Tim Thomas. He deserves to be in Phoenix and deserves a pretty good contract. Don't know how much he will play next year with Kurt Thomas and Amare back. But Phoenix should definitely resign him.

He should stay in Pheonix only if Amare is not able to come back and be healthy. Because when Amare gets back his role will change.

But choosing to either play with Steve Nash or Jason Kidd is the best decision I think Tim can make for his career. He has never consistently played this well untill he started playing with Steve Nash.

He might be a better fit than Kurt. Kurt is only effective out to about 15 feet, while Tim has and unexpectedly sweet 3 point stroke. Age and mobility will be issues as well for Kurt despite his superior defense.

I agree, there should be room for both on the roster. Depends on how bad Tim wants to be here and the $$ offered by others. . ..

He has done well in Phoenix, as long as he doesn't go overboard with money I'd resign him if I was the Suns. He did well against the Lakers in the playoffs
