<font size=""1""><font color=""black"">Tony Parker
<font size=""1"">This guy is only 23(Soon to be 24 on the 17th! [IMG] ) and its suprising how good he is. He can get the ball moving ,though his assists don't show it, and has a decent jumper to back off to. He drives the lane and makes every shot so easy. Floater to fingeroll this guy can and will make it if you don't press down on D.
[IMGL]http://www.nba.com/media/playerfile/tim_duncan.jpg[/IMGL]
<font size=""1""><font color=""black"">Tim Duncan
Timothy is getting his looks and up on the scoreboards early. With 31 points and 13 rebounds Avery must be grinding his teeth. This guy goes without saying, he will get his looks, grab his boards, alter his shots, and you will know why he was one half of the twin towers.

[IMGL]http://www.nba.com/media/playerfile/bruce_bowen.jpg[/IMGL]
<font size=""1""><font color=""black"">Bruce Bowen
" And Everybody was kung fu fightin'! Those kicks were fast as lightnin'! ". With 4 personal fouls that should be Bruce's new theme song. The lightside of his game last night was his sweet crunch time shot to put the Spurs up by 3. He better get ready to try to D up Nowitzki with his acclaimed shut down defense or else its going to rain in the AT&T center.
[IMGL]http://www.nba.com/playerfile/images/robert_horry.jpg[/IMGL]
<font size=""1""><font color=""black"">Robert Horry
I was quite suprised that Horry started at Center. He went 1-4 from 3 land and hit 2 freethrows during last nights game. His swiss cheese defense was covered up to an extent by Timmy and his cold hand didn't help his case. He shouldn't be anything to talk about going into game 2 but that doesn't mean he shouldn't be guarded. I seem to remember a game winning shot when he was a LAL, so I wouldn't exactly let this guy get free shots [IMG]

<font size=""1""><font color=""Navy"">
Adrian GriffinAdrian who? This guy is so quiet out there I am truly questioning Avery's coaching. With only 3 points, 1 rebound, and 1 assist this guy can be overlooked if he starts again. I doubt he will have a break out game tomorrow as he is just letting everyone else sit at the controls.

[IMGL]http://www.nba.com/playerfile/images/jason_terry.jpg[/IMGL]
<font size=""1""><font color=""Navy"">Jason Terry
He needs to step up and be that second option to score, as well as move the ball. Don't get me wrong 14 points isn't that bad, but only getting 1 assist out of 8 of the teams total assists means to me that the ball isn't moving like it should. Terry needs to be consistant, get his shot early, and get good looks for his teamates.
[IMGL]http://digitalcity.nba.com/media/playerfile/josh_howard.jpg[/IMGL]
<font size=""1""><font color=""Navy"">Josh Howard
Josh was looking real sharp out there last night, with his 17 points, 9 boards, and 2 blocked shots. The only flaw with his game last night was his turnovers. It's terrible to see that half of his teamates only had 1 TO, but he had 5. Come on Josh I know your better than that. He needs to take care of the ball and not make stupid mistakes especially against the Spurs.
[IMGL]http://www.nba.com/playerfile/images/dirk_nowitzki.jpg[/IMGL]
<font size=""1""><font color=""navy"">Dirk Nowitzki
Dirk better warm his hands by the fire because this guy was cold last night. 8-20 FG's and 4-6 FT's isn't something to write home about especially if your first name is Dirk, last name Nowitzki. If he can get the hot hand early Bruce Bowen better start karate chopping because aint nothing gonna stop that sweet fadaway shot from missin'.
[IMGL]http://www.basket-stats.info/players/playerfile/d/images/desagana_diop.jpg[/IMGL]
<font size=""1""><font color=""Navy"">Desagana Diop
With only 15 minutes played and 5 personal fouls its pretty obvious he got into foul trouble. This guy only had 2 points and 4 boards, needless to say he isn't that much of a threat. He tries to block but fails, so this guy is easy pickins' for Duncan. Everytime Duncan was in the post Diop slapped something as he went up. I can safely say that Diop won't be that much of a defensive or offensive threat come game 2.

<font color=""black"">Spurs Key to the game?

[*]<font color=""black"">Shut down Dirk - The last thing you want is a 7 foot German raining shots in your face. He has post play, he has a jumper, and he can pass all of which need to be shut down in order for a victory.
[*]<font color=""black"">Don't let teamates get into it - Dirk isn't the only option on the court, there is plenty of others for Dirk to fall back on to help with the offensive load. This can't happen if the Spurs want to win.
[*]<font color=""black"">Finish it - The last thing the Spurs want is to go into Dallas(can't say Texas [IMG] ) with the series tied. The Mavs are far from a pushover, this isn't an 8th seed team. This team can and will out shoot you out of their home court. The Spurs definitly want to go in with the momentum, and up 2-0.
[/list]

“He’s a whole new set of challenges. I think we handled it pretty well. He’s tall and long and can draw fouls and finish at the basket. He’s just a whole new set of challenges for us.” - Tim Duncan on Nowitzki

<font color=""Black"">Spurs 90, <font color=""Navy"">Mavs 89
