So I was just out back mowing the yard, and I saw my neighbor (who is from India) out trimming the pine trees he has in his back yard. I waved, he waved, and we went back to our business. 10 minutes later when I was done mowing, I looked back over at him and he had sawed through all the lower branches of the two pine trees, leaving just the trunk standing there. I thought that it was bizarre, so when I walked past I asked what he was doing. "Oh, just trimming these trees so the branches are up off the ground" he said. "Cool, are you going to add some more flowers down there or something?" I asked, since the trees back right up to their small flower garden. "No, my wife (also Indian) is scared of the rabbits that made a nest under the tree; the other day one of them was outside the nest while she was working with the flowers and it cornered her and scared her pretty bad" he replied. I looked for a hint of a smile or twinkle of the eye to let me know that his tongue was in his cheek, but he was completely serious. His wife came to the door and saw us talking, and told me the whole story of how the little bunny rabbit scared the ever loving sh*t out of her. She had never seen them before, because she has only been in this country for about 6 months. I guess there aren't rabbits in India, or she's just crazy
