<div class="quote_poster">Quoting authentiq:</div><div class="quote_post">Isn't Odom turning 30? That's way too much but a Kwame + Lamar + 1st Round Pick seems good to me..</div> ummmm......odom is like 25-26. lol. also, i wouldnt trade away odom and kwame unless they throw in eddie griffin or maybe troy hudson
<font color=""Black""><font size=""1"">If the deal would include Marko Jaric and Troy Hudson, then It's a deal. </font></font>
Are you serious? Too much too give up for KG? KG is a superstar in this league and is two years removed from the MVP award. You guys are being too picky for a perennial 20/10/5 superstar.
<font color=""Black""><font size=""1"">The Lakers should try and pursue Mike James of the Raptors. Maybe send Chris Mihm and Devin Green for Mike James. This trade would benefit both teams. The Lakers need a PG that can create and score while the Raptors need a good serviceable center that way Bosh can go back to PF. </font></font>
Hell yeah I make this trade if I'm the Lakers. I love how Odom played in the last two months of the season, BUT, and unfortunately with Odom there's always going to be a but, can we expect him to put up 20/10/5 for 82 games? The answer is no. I also like the potential of Andrew Bynum, and he's the hardest player to give up in this deal. However, he's not going to contribute consistently for at least 2 more seasons. I'd rather make a run with KG & Kobe now, instead of cross my fingers and hope Bynum lives up to his potential. Chris Mihm is going to want a hefty pay raise after his contract expires this season. I don't think he's part of the Lakers long term plans to begin with. PG - Cassell or Banks (full MLE) SG - Kobe SF - KG PF - Turiaf C - Kwame
how reliable is the source? I know it's just a rumor but that a bit too much. I like this trade idea though, giving up 3 bigs for 1 big . KG is a great player, worth it.
the only reason why i dont like this trade much is because we are giving up too much players. we dont have much room under the cap to sign anyone in the first place, and knowing mitch, the MLE and LLE will be wasted. so unless the wolves are willing to throw in, lets say eddie griffin, troy hudson, or rashad mcants into the deal, i dont like it much. if we do get KG, we will be left with a very thin roster.
I'd go for the trade for KG in a heartbeat. Kobe is in the prime years. Its time to win now. We cant wait for Bynum. It would be great if they would throw in Hudson in the deal or Jaric.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">20/10/5</div> I think Odom is good for 20 10 and 5 next season, I think it'll be closer to 19 9 and 6 but that's still freakin incredible...
On paper that is a great trade for the Lakers, but would Kobe be able to share the ball with KG? He didn't want to share with Shaq, has he changed since then?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting GatorsowntheSEC:</div><div class="quote_post">On paper that is a great trade for the Lakers, but would Kobe be able to share the ball with KG? Kobe will shares the ball if you prove that you can score consistenly, you see that in the playoff against the Suns. KG is the guy who doesn't neccessarily need to take 20 shots/game; his game is very consistent with 24/12/5. Kobe and KG will be a great dynamic duo, probably better than any duo in the NBA, including Wade and Shaq, Tmac and Yao, Kidd and Carter, etc...Kobe can play on the outside while KG in the low post. Also the pick n roll with these two will create a nightmare for the defenders. I really like Kobe and KG playing on the same team. Both of them have great chemistry together and they're best friend. I remembered when Kobe was a rookie and KG was shopomore, during the ASG, KG always looked after KB. Both of them putting on a show with the alleyhoop dunk, passing, and high five; it's great
nah it's way too much! i know lamar would come back with a vengeance and so will kwame... i would only offer the T'wolves bynum "OR" kwame, mihm, george, sasha, jackson etc... and some picks... i wouldn't trade kobe (of course), odom, kwame"OR" bynum, smush (he'll be the back up PG), ronny (hustle boy), luke (he has POTENTIAL)
