This is KG, people! MVP a mere 3 years ago! His game hasn't deteriorated the way some posters implied. He's still a top-flight power forward. Even in this down year for him, he still is on the All-NBA Third Team, still one of the top 15 players. And if Lamar Odom, Chris Mihm, Andrew Bynum, and a pick is required, I'd pull the trigger in a heartbeat. Kevin Garnett has carried the Wolves the past decade or so. Who among the three aforementioned Lakers has ever carried a team? I'd say the Wolves get the short end of the trade if they do that. With KG and KB, the Lakers can still get quality free agents to make up for the talent shortfall. As for the salary cap, Jerry Buss has to pony up a little luxury tax but then, hey, I bet he stands to make millions more if he gets an elite team from this. The luxury tax would be peanuts. Pity the Knicks, way over the cap and nothing to show for it. With the KG-KB show, Jerry Buss would have a lot going for him. He has to spend some in order to earn more, but then I'm sure he knows that. He's filthy rich as it is.[IMG]
