Seeing as how I've yet to put my 2 cents in here yet, I might as well. Personally, I'm a huge fan of Tyrus Thomas, however, he is most definitely not what the Bulls need. So, I'm banking on them getting Aldridge. He's a big body, he's strong, and he's got a pretty good post game already. Couple him in the frontcourt with Chandler and that's not all that bad if you ask me. If they do end with Thomas, I won't be completely disappointed. However, he reminds me a lot of a Josh Smith type player. He's got tremendous athletic ability and a huge upside. While he may take time to develop, he wouldn't be a bad pick, but he wouldn't completely be what the Bulls need. While he could play the PF, he's undersized and he's said it himself that he's more of a 3. So, in the end, I'd rather see Aldridge in a Bulls uni next season over Thomas.

Yeah, a lot of mixed messages, I hope the Raptors one is true. I don't think the Bobcats need to move up, I think they can get Morrison, Gay, or Roy at #3. But, I think if they do it which will make it for no reason unless the Raptors want some 2nd rounder or something because they can get Bargnani at #3 too.

Less than 24 hours from the draft now. I have to say I’m starting to warm up to the idea of drafting Thomas. Although, I would still rather take Aldridge. Thomas was just giving an interview and really shed some light on just how much dedication he has to the game. He has been training 8 hours a day since the college basketball season ended. Plus he grew up a Bulls fan so he would love to play for us. However, if both he and Aldridge are on the board I still take Aldridge. The guy as just as good a work ethic, a better perimeter game, and more height to him.

I just thought of something antonio davis was a great pf at 6'9. Barkley was a great pf at 6'6. Some people play bigger than they are. Maybe he is one of those players. Ben wallace at 6'9 plays center. Good thing do come in small packages. Zo is only 6'10. Elton brand 6'8.

I'm pretty worried that we won't get Aldridge even if he is available. Lots of mock drafts have Thomas at #2, but like you said, it could be a smokescreen. I don't think Thomas is bad, I just think Aldridge would be a better fit.

I'm not, it's good that he is a good guy and a workout type and that he supported Chicago when he was younger.

We need a Center and we need height and a post presense.

Unless we ship Chandler, I can't see having him and Thomas on the floor at the same time, it would almost be 3 on 5 when we got the ball.

Would you make up your mind, Bryan!

Same old stuff with Canada. Too wishy-washy.

Why can't they be like us?decisive even if we don't get it right?

Toronto Raptors general manager Bryan Colangelo has the No. 1 pick in Wednesday's NBA draft and is expected to select Andrea Bargnani of Italy, who isn't anywhere near the best player in a watered-down European game.

Does that make sense to anyone?

No, and as the draft rushes in, there were rumors the Raptors would take Texas center LaMarcus Aldridge.</div>

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">It would take a blockbuster deal for the Bulls to surrender the No. 2 pick in tonight?s NBA draft.

They did talk about potential packages for Minnesota?s Kevin Garnett at one point, according to a league source, but nothing appears to be on the front burner.

There has been a little more action with the 16th pick. Trading that selection for Dallas swingman Marquis Daniels was one possibility, but the Bulls don?t like Daniels? contract, which calls for $19 million over the next three years.

The Bulls may be open to bringing back 6-foot-5 guard Trenton Hassell for the 16th pick if Minnesota is looking to trim payroll. Hassell is slightly less expensive, with $17.5 million and four seasons left on his contract.

One rumor of pairing the 16th pick and Chris Duhon for Boston?s No. 7 pick will not happen. There is talk that using No. 16 and Michael Sweetney in a swap to get Philadelphia?s 13th pick is possible. The Bulls probably would take back guard Kevin Ollie in such a deal.</div>

Would you mind the Dallas deal? I think Daniels is a better player then we can get at #16, just his contract I guess. I wouldn't do it for Hassell.

Chicago Tribune - According to Chicago Tribune writer Sam Smith, the talk late Tuesday involved Golden State looking to unload some long-term contracts so it can resign Mickael Pietrus.

The Warriors are willing to deal former Notre Damer Troy Murphy and the No. 9 pick for the Bulls' No. 2 and 16 picks. Murphy would give the Bulls a perimeter big man who can shoot and open the floor for Chandler. The ninth pick would give them a shot at a big guard like 6-7 Ronnie Brewer of Arkansas or a big man like Connecticut's Hilton Armstrong. [READ]</div>

Also, most mocks have the Bulls selecting Thabo Sefolosha at #16, do you guys know anything about him... I've just looked at the scouting reports.

That would be awesome to get Marquis Daniels! I would love it...come on trade the 16th pick, the contract isn't that bad, especially since he will back it up with his game on the court, Dallas was too deep so he shined in only the few minutes he was on the court. Game 6 he kept Dallas against the Heat. Marquis a Bull, please Paxson, that would be so sweet.

I hope Toronto doesn't select Aldridge. The Italian dude isn't even the best Euro player? Well that doesn't matter, but it's just strange to hear. It's not the end of the world if Chicago picks Thomas, but it would be stupid, the Bulls and Paxson know what tehy need and at the end of the day (today), they will make the right move.

I don’t see the point in bringing Hassel back. Although, a great defender he has a huge contract that he doesn’t really deserve, considering how unpolished he is offensively. His natural position is small forward a spot we are loaded at, and he would likely not see much time for us. I wouldn't mind Marques Daniels, but I don’t know if I would trade the 16th for him without getting a pick in return. I would do it in a second if we could get Daniels and the Mavericks first round pick.

The hot rumor floating among GMs this morning was that the Bulls and Timberwolves might pull off a blockbuster Kevin Garnett deal, sending picks No. 2 (Tyrus Thomas) and No. 16 (probably Marcus Williams) along with either Luol Deng or Ben Gordon to Minnesota for Garnett. (ESPN.com )

No way Marcus Williams slips by the 76ers at 13. I don’t think there is much truth at all to the Garnett rumor. Only way Garnett is traded in my opinion is if he demands a trade. If it went through I can’t say I would be disappointed though. I would want the 6th pick from Minnesota though so we can replace Deng/Gordon. The rumor I think has the best chance of happening right now is the 16 and Sweetney to Philly for the 13th pick, if Brewer is available.

Man, I would really love the Bulls to trade their picks. You have no idea what you're getting in this draft, or any draft for that matter. I think the Bulls are done with drafting and need to make serious trades and not draft picks.

Just my .000002 cents. Which I haven't given on here in over a year. [IMG]
