....Who is cheering for the Mavericks to win it all so that Darrell Armstrong can get a ring? Mavs are probably my 2nd favorite team anyway(since I love Dirk and Josh Howard), but watching the game tonight and even though he barely played, they always showed the Dallas bench and Darrell was going crazy over there getting everyone pumped up. Even in the 2-3 mins that he played when the game was over 20 pts, he still played with the energy that we loved in Orlando. He got a nice steal and layup. It's so easy for someone to just not play hard in garbage time, but I don't think we will ever see Darrell not giving 110%. He is just impossible not to love because of his work ethic and his personality for the game. Does anyone else see Darrell getting into coaching after he retires? I hope Brian Hill will give him a chance as an assistant and maybe he can be Brian Hill's successor. Maybe, just maybe he can become the next Avery Johnson in the coaching ranks. Sorry for being off topic here, since he isn't an Orlando Magic, I just remembered how much I loved Darrell and his time in Orlando.
Well, I wasn't a fan when Darrell was here, but I'm liking Dallas to win it all too. That would be cool if Darrell could get a ring, he deserves it. And Darrell becoming a Coach seems like it could happen, that'd be awesome if Orlando gave him a chance if he ever wanted to come coach for Orlando.

He is basically what every single coach wants their players to be. Give 110%, give up his body, be a team player, spark the team, and he had a great personality(from what it seemed like). The heart and hustle year was probably my favorite team that we had, even more than the Shaq/Penny teams. All 12 guys went out every single night and put it all on the court and Darrell was the leader of that. We had almost zilch talent(well before they became good, we had Corey Maggette and Ben Wallace to name a few), but somehow we managed 41-41 record and 1 game out of making the playoffs, because we would hustle like crazy and just play unselfish ball. Darrell is the greatest Magic player ever, IMO. (well at least my favorite) If a team had 12 Darrell Armstrongs type players then they would win it all, because of his toughness and heart and team play. It's a shame that he left Orlando like he did(we basically kicked him out of Orlando). I hope we retire his number. Oh and he's a Redskins fan. He took the mic before a game after the Redskins beat the Cowboys and said, how about them Redskins to a homecrowd in Dallas. That was classic!
Darrell deserves a ring (he has certainly worked hard enough to get one) It's too bad we didn't keep him around
Darrell looks like the assistant in Game 4 in his suit. He's shadowing Avery Johnson, everyone time they show Johnson, you see Darrell right next to him. I really really really hope he decides to come to Orlando to coach, rather than somewhere else(like Skiles), rather than getting Johnny Davis and Brian Hill.
Looks like you guys got your wish. Now they just have to beat the Heat. I'm happy for the Mavs and I won some money thanks to them so it's all good. EDIT: Nice sig Chuck.
